My wife and I need to get away and go somewhere to relax. Boy did we ever find the place for that. The cottage was old but beautiful and just what the doctor ordered. Very quiet and peaceful. The pond was great. We caught fish after fish and even though it was catch and release, it was great!!! Sitting on...

The property is beautiful with a spring-fed lake brimming with fish; the house is rustic but very clean. The decorating is appropriate and charming. I would recommend the ranch house for those who enjoy something a "little" off the beaten path.

Antique Weekend...a bunch of girls...and a great place to stay!! Hudson is a great Host and the house has everything you need. This was our second time staying at Winedale Cottage during Antique Weekend. Mornings are the best. You can wake up, make your coffee and relax on the porch listening to the sounds of nature...lots of birds, cows, etc....

If you want to experience the deep heart of Texas, this is the place! There are trees galore and beautiful scenery to take in the true beauty of Texas. When the sun starts to set you will enjoy the grassy breeze on the porch in the huge rocking chairs and listen to the birds ready to nest for the night....

The place may have been very nice at one time but the lack of maintenance shows. There were wasps, bugs, spiders and flies inside. The cows wander all over the property so you had to be extremely careful where you stepped when even trying to get to your car as cow patties were everywhere around the cottage entryways. The floor in...

I am the owner of the Round Top Cottages and it saddens me to see these comments posted about my unhosted stay. So, I am going to try and address these negative experiences. I have owned and operated this place for some 20 years. I never intended for this place to provide the same experience as a Bed & Breakfast....

This place has been deserted for a very long time. The view from the porch was impossible due to the overgrown trees. No outdoor lighting other than one fixture over the back door. This home is in a very dark isolated pasture. There were lighting fixtures out front but no bulbs. And the sockets have been empty for so long, they...
