Stayed at the Black Swan for a 2 night getaway. Cosy county pub which is "work in progress "and under refurb (don't let that put you off). Dined on consecutive evenings and thoroughly enjoyed the food quality and quantity. Breakfast was good, with the exception that the kitchen had run out of sugar for our cereals. Food was fresh and... Just had a 2 night midweek stay here. On arrival, Lucy the manager was very welcoming and showed us to our room with a small gift. The room was first class. We ate in the restaurant both nights. Great food, great service.

This was our second two night visit as we had enjoyed the same in the early summer. We stayed Sunday and Monday nights. Again the accommodation was of a good standard with room tastefully decorated. The underfloor heating meant the room was very warm even through outside temperatures were low. The food is locally sourced, breakfast is huge, and the... More

Came here a few years ago and came along again for the bonfire in Masham. The room was good although not quite as nice as the first room which I think was a superior room with a large bathroom and Jacuzzi bath, and lovely views from the two windows. However the room was (very) warm and comfortable on a cold... More

This was the first place me and my wife stopped when we first started dating...we recently got married and stopped her the night after our wedding to bring back some happy memories. We arrived early evening, got settled into our room (wish I had booked the room we stayed in before) and then headed down to have something to eat.... More

We needed to book a room on a Saturday at Masham but all the town hotels were full and finally found a room at the Black Swan. Be warned that Fearby is about two miles from Masham so walking boots required. We were charged £137.50 for a room including breakfast which was taken from our card upon booking. On arrival... More

Stayed at the Swan in September for an anniversary break for me and my wife. The inn was originally a small pub which has had an annexe added to allow for accommodation. Thankfully It's been done tastefully using local stone to match the original building. The room was small but comfortable with good bed which ensured a good nights sleep, TV... More

Lovely big rooms with under floor heating, huge comfy bed, nice bathroom. The food very good especially if you like game. Great staff. Lovely quiet area but close to interesting places to visit. Property in process of further development but this did not detract or interfere with our most enjoyable short break. Look forward to a return visit.
