This white wooden (main) house rings history and happiness. A large open garden in front of the building with benches and massive trees make a perfect spot for after-breakfast coffee or tea, while the kids are kicking ball on the lawn, and listening to the sea and the birds. It is a tranquil place. Everything is slow-pace, down to Earth,...

We hade a amazing four days with our kids at Hotel Koster. The staff were wonderful with our kids and so professional. The food were also very good. I eat the fish and it tasted perfect. The rooms were fresh and clean. We will be back soon! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Totally loved this hotel. We weren't sure what to expect and I'm not sure a family of 3 from the UK is the usual for them either as its largely the haunt of Norwegians on yachts that turn up and eat. The manager Daniel is very accommodating and the hotel works with the weather as sometimes the food is served...

The hotel itself consist of the old majestic main house, the new block buildings with rooms, and the huge porch with orchestra stage and cook-out serving. Facility wise, this is not a fancy luxury place, but during warm summer days and evenings, there is no place like it. The weather means everything here, and if you're lucky - a stay...

We were at the Koster for two nights, one of which coincided with mid-summer celebrations. We had two recently decorated sea-themed rooms both comfortable and clean with a view of the harbour from the balcony. First night we virtually had the resort to ourselves and with inclement weather we ate from the menu in the main dining room. Good food...

Excellent room and breakfast. Terrible dinner. Both the cod and the entrecôte was supported by a far too salt sauce. It destroyed the whole meal. Did the cook taste it before it was served? Unfortunately not. It looked excellent, but didn't taste accordingly.

Suddenly closed down because the bartender tried to hit in two girls in the bar. Very unprofessional and we felt very unwelcome. 10 friends that at 00.30 had to leave again since we where denied service.

Unique setting, great staff. Lunch and dinner venue is one of a kind. Food quality very high and intelligent menue. Pricy food but definitely worth it. Wine list could be a bit better. Only downside was packed breakfast room with slow refill. Go there!

Rooms ok, but bathroom was smelly with leaking shower. Restaurant had a surprisingly small choice for dinner, and no fish which was strange when outside we watched guests staying elsewhere landing mackerel by the bucket load. Breakfast was however nice. There is a nice outside eating area, but when we stayed in June the evenings were still too chilly to...

Imagine a Swedish version of the Dirty Dancing hotel and you're there! Basic nautical-themed cabins. Great live music. A buzz in the air. Lots of happy families. Friendly guests and staff. Excellent Swedish island experience. Lovely to be near the harbour and boats.
