Babou is a magical place. It embraces you at first sight. After 2 months of travelling through the Balkans, having the chance to lay on a hammock facing the fields and the beautiful mountains on the back was "magnifique", all that I needed. United to good vibes, simple life and nature, only good company lacks, then there's Babou's family! They've...

We loved Babou - admittedly our kids were initially a bit let down (no pool on site) but it is in such a gorgeous village with amazing views. There are thermal (and cold) pools just down the road, so our kids were happy in the end. We camped but the hostel looks terrific.

We Stayed for one night at the guesthouse. You also have the choice to camp. The guesthouse is in an old barn but have new bathrooms and a small kitchen you can use. Around the grounds you can relax in a hammock while watching the great scenery. Great place for hiking and seeing the sights in Maramures. We were so...

We stayed here two nights and really loved the place! It is so peaceful, made with love and a sense for sustainability. Everything was clean and well cared for. We have a Campervan (5,99m) which probably is the biggest you can manage to get to Babou...definitely recommended! 5 star+ if you love nature and do not seek pool, restaurant and...

We stayed at Babou with our 2 kids and they also loved it so much! The environment is so pure and authentic!! The moment you put up your tent you feel as if you never want to leave again. Eveline and Mathijs really made this corner of the world into a paradise of peace and tranquility. I reccomend everybody to...

We are traveling throughout the Europe for more than 25 years now. First with tent, last years with small camper. Babou is one of the best camp sites which we have experienced, Because of its atmosphere, unspoiled nature and enthusiastic owners. It is very good starting point for hiking (visit mount Gutai is almost obligatory), cycling or just walking through...

We arrived in the afternoon in the burning sun and welcomed by a very friendly young lady who showed us around. We were the first of 30 more friends on motorbikes, which could be imposing for other guests but it was fine because the fields are so big and with different levels that everybody found his/her quiet place. The sun...
