I booked a hotel with Booking.com and this is the one that they booked. There are two hotels called very similar names…. Days Inn by Wyndham Bryan Days Inn by Wyndham Bryan, College Station Since it was booked the day of the stay, my credit card was charged. When I got to this location, I realized this was NOT the place I thought was booked. I told the person at the desk that there was a mistake! In his broken English, he told me to contact the booking agency. I called Booking.com and they were absolutely NO help! There was no way I was staying at this hotel. I did not feel safe just sitting in my car in broad daylight! So I lost my money for one night’s stay and then had to find another place because the hotel I originally thought I booked was full. I will never book through Booking.com again! Beware!!!…
This property is hot garbage. I’m ok with a “budget” option without amenities, but this property was far below substandard. The door handle to enter my room was in serious disrepair, and only worked after several repeated attempts. The bathroom light was flickering much like you’d see in a horror movie ahead of the antagonist jumping out with a sharp object. Thankfully, the light just completely stopped working, which removed the risk of a flashing light induced seizure during our stay. The walls were dingy, the ceiling cracked, and visible gaps were present at many of the outlets and switches. The pillowcases appeared washed but showed signs of previous staining. The comforter was more appropriate for dog bedding than at a hotel. Ultimately, this location is a poor reflection of the Days Inn brand, and if I were in the corporate office I would make a site visit to room 105 to confirm these conditions meet with the brand standard. I highly doubt it.…
The upkeep of the property was poor. Repairs for a water leak were sloppy with patches of plaster smeared on. Sheet on one bed was stained. Entry door handle was broken and had to be shifted around to work. Same trash (i.e. someone’s discarded food tray with pasta) on the ground was there when we checked in on Tuesday afternoon and when we checked out on Thursday. Strong smell of marijuana outside the first night. However, it was surprisingly quiet, the beds were comfortable, and they did have breakfast. And it was inexpensive.
Dirty rooms, bugs, smells like weed, key cards don’t work, staff is rude, too expensive for what you get, horrible stairs that are too steep and dangerous, have to go back and forth to front office to get new key cards constantly.
I never leave reviews. Make sure you read all the bad ones about this location. They’re correct. This place needs a major tuneup. Service was mediocre. Rooms are not clean at all and just filthy. You may luck out and get working electrical outlets. Save your money, not worth it here.
