This was a lovely setting for our writing retreat. Our individual room was clean and spacious. The grounds were peaceful and the meeting room was lovely and quiet. I enjoyed the proximity to downtown Fredericksburg, Texas which was within walking distance to many shops and restaurants.

all turned out good while we stayed two nights at the Fredericksburg Inn in late April. The room was clean. The a/c worked very well. The complimentary full breakfast and soft drink machine were very nice additions to our stay. The location was very convenient to the popular downtown area, where we spent several hours looking and walking around; and...

Nice hotel with one problem: street noise. My room (101) on the ground floor was close to the Washington Street bridge over Barron Creek. It seems to be a prime thoroughfare for trucks whose passage made a loud "BANG" that woke us up every morning between 0500 and 0730 frequently and regularly. Hotel probably can't prevent it, but they could...

The grounds are extraordinary. A lovely outside area for contemplation and quiet. The walls of the rooms are thin. I could hear the next door "neighbors" television as clear as if it were in the bathroom - at least they didn't stay up too late! Thank Heavens! Trash behind the nightstand and behind the TV stand area and yogurt in...

It is conveniently located. Rooms are clean. Staff friendly. We loved our table outside our Suite. It was perfect for having a glass of wine or breakfast in the morning. We were really close to many wineries and the downtown area.

The pool was much better than any normal motel pool. You could actually swim a little in this pool as it was wide enough. It had a nice rock feature pouring water into the pool. My only complaint was that the parking lot is a little tight. Be careful backing out. And, the entrance is a little confusing as to...

Great experience. Walked to downtown area. Lots of eating places nearby. Breakfast was better than chains. Clean room and easy parking. Easy to find. Friendly staff. Barn door on the bathroom. Had mini-fridge in room.

I was really torn about the number of stars to give this hotel. It is fine, the staff was fine, the room was fine...but that's just it, it was just "fine". Not great, not outstanding, and certainly not worth $200 per night. I think at a lower price, it might deserve a better rating. Here's the lowdown: 1. It is...

“But for the street noise a nice room with a comfortable bed. ”

“There was a yogurt in the refrigerator when I arrived. Two empty snack packages behind the night stand between the beds and one empty snack package behind the TV stand where the microwave and the fridge are. The bathroom and beds seemed clean but you can imagine that I was a bit nervous about the quality of the cleaning in the room for that many obvious things to have been missed.”

“I'd choose a room away from the pool only because I prefer early nights whereas others prefer to party later but the pool did close at a reasonable time.”
