I was surprised on this trip to Hotel Galvez on our anniversary weekend. The hotel itself is full of history and is beautiful! The pool outside is a relaxing place to swim or lounge. They have musicians that play live music throughout the day and it's very relaxing. The bartenders are so friendly!!!! I want to give a shout-out to...

Perfect stay once again. Have stayed in Galveston many times. The Galvez is our favorite place to stay! Kenya at check in was so sweet. You must go the the bar and see Danielle and Stephanie!! Such a good time visiting with the 2 of them. Always a great drink, Yes, the drinks are pricey. But we always enjoy these...

Fantastic place! Galveston itself is a little dead in April, but the Wyndham is nice. I am disappointed that they don't have fresh gulf fish on the Wyndham menus. Only downfall. I didn't come all the way from Ohio for Salmon!? We loved the ghost tour with Melissa. Dinner afterwards was terrific and so we're our servers Miguel and Justin!...

Room was great except the television service was poor. Voices did not match the picture. Also, there were no clean towels by the pool. At any of the 4 towel stations until we were ready to leave the pool area.

This is our third year to spend a few days to celebrate birthdays with our dog at the closest beach so we appreciate the pet acceptance policy. However, the cold lobby prevented us from eating any meals in the hotel. We also received no maid service one day and a request for towels resulted in only getting bath towlels. The...

From the appetizers on the porch to the elegant wedding outside in the sunken lawn garden, this is the place for the perfect wedding. All stages of the wedding was coordinated and attended to so guests were treated like royalty. The beverages and dinner were complimented in an atmosphere of elegance and comfort. This is truly the spot to get...

Beautiful historic hotel across street from the beach. Wonderfully appointed rooms with great bedding and bathrooms. The lobby is spectacular example of hotels of a bygone era but with nonintrusive modern touches. The lobby bar is a great place to unwind with ice-cold beers after a several-mile walk along the beach seawall.

This historical place has been on my bucket list since moving to Texas in 1990. Finally made it for a stay, thanks to our Wyndham Club Membership. And, it was well worth the wait! Love these old buildings, elegant with a nod to the past. Due to time constraints, we didn't make it to the Spa (I'll save that for...
