We had a large and comfortable room, met the very friendly proprietors, and made the acquaintance of happy kittycats in the parking lot. A bit of street noise, but not bad. What more could one ask for for the price? :)

What a refreshing experience. Very inexpensive. Super clean! Very comfortable bed...as good as an expensive hotel or better. We stayed during record heat and the AC had no problem keeping the room cool. There was a mini fridge and microwave and coffee maker in the room. Don't worry about the older outdoor appearance. The couple running the place have planted a couple of garden areas they tend to and it actually gives the place a bed and breakfast feel. Super friendly check in. Outdoor grill for customer use. Very safe. You'll appreciate your stay af you get way more than you pay for.

I've stayed here 4 nights on two different dates. I had a barking dog issue. And the young lady there called me to apologize for the barking dog. Moreover, The owner left the dog alone in the room. So now I just recently booked here for another 2 nights. The young lady knew me. She said I won't have that barking dog issue again. And she remembers my name. So I didn't had the barking issue for the remainder of my stay. However, her parents run the motel also. These time I had to deal with the parents with any issues I had. Unfortunately, the parents wasn't too hospitable. I had an Air condition problem. It basically wasn't cooling down the room. I told the young lady mother about the issue. She told me: "the other guests didn't have problems with it." I would've been cool with that if she said it in professional way. But no, she had an attitude about it. The young lady step in and give me a fan that she have on the property. Then I noticed the room smelled like fresh paint or something. Trash everywhere. Old A/C units was stacked up by guests rooms, and never thrown away. The young lady father looks off into space when you try to tell himself. Like he never understand what you're trying say. The pool isn't working. I mean it's summer time. My last stay here will be my last stay here. I would've given them one Circle here, but the young lady I've mentioned was awesome. She always try to solve a problem instead of the old "will the previous guests never had that problem." I can't say I'll recommend this motel or would I recommend this motel because when that young lady runs the motel... Your stay here will be awesome. But when you have to deal with her parents... You won't have good service. Plus, you can expect trash everywhere. Like that kind of trash that produces infestations (ants, roaches, flies, you name it) I really hate to leave a bad comment... But I can't tell a lie about my stay here. I'll let you decide if you want to stay here or not, because it's cheap room here. But remember that old expression: "you get what you paid for."…

Mr. New, while we appreciate you taking the time to leave a review, we do encourage our guests to be respectful and transparent for others. I, "the young lady," was present there when you were assisted with the A/C issue and in no way were you treated unprofessionally. We do apologize that you felt this way. The A/C units referenced were just replaced in all of the rooms earlier and were temporarily being stored until we could have those discarded later that week. The pool too was filled in with dirt due to low use and high maintenance costs; it was sitting there to allow the dirt time to settle so we could then convert that space to a picnic area/garden for guests to enjoy. Lastly, taking a picture of trash that we were emptying from all of the exterior trash cans that morning, as we do every morning, is not an accurate portrayal of how we run things here at the Regency. We do our best to keep this facility clean and comfortable for our guests and continue to renovate often. Unfortunately, the reality is we won't be able to satisfy the needs of all guests, but we will always continue to try our best. I've stayed in this motel several times with my teenage daughter. It is spotless, the air and heat work very well, and the owners are very nice. We feel safe and secure, and have never had any problems. Highly recommended.

We stayed here because it looked clean on outside and well kept. Stayed in handicapped room and had everything I needed. Room was clean and smelled fine. Lady at desk was courteous. Price was good. Overall we were very pleased with room and would stay there again as this is on the way to see kids and grandkids.

I stayed at this hotel for a night and was very pleasantly surprised. The owner ms desk clerk were extremely nice even give me a few suggestions. I'm a tall man and the showers actually were tall enough. The bed was extremely comfortable. Being off of Main Street it was really quiet. I stay in lot of motels due to my job but this one is fantastic very Clean and well kept. Good job guys.

The only reason I stayed here was because everything else was booked up. But boy am I thankful for that! The bed and pillows were the most comfortable ones I've ever been on! The ac works wonderful and there are so many channels you get to enjoy! Quiet, peaceful, comfortable and inexpensive!

I usually don't lower my standards by talking bad about others but this is an exception. The lady I met at the counter was very rude from the beginning and then demanded I pay a $25 deposit since I live in Gatesville. I asked her why she was being so harsh with me and she said young punks like me always tear up and trash the rooms. This lady has never seen me before and I'm not a "Young Punk". I am a normal full time college student, and I was trying to have a nice day with my girlfriend away from the stresses of school and life itself. I am a responsible 25 year old man, not a young punk that goes around trashing hotel rooms. She had something against me, I don't know what it was but I really don't like being discriminated against simply because I may be younger than her old dried up self..... This doesn't mean the hotel itself was bad, it looked decent but I refuse to give money to someone who is unwilling to treat their customers like humans. I went down the street to the Gatesville Inn, The man and woman working there are very nice and welcoming. It may not be as nice as the regency but its cheaper and the owners of the hotel didn't ruin my vibe by being jerks.... This is just my opinion, but I honestly did nothing to this lady and she was being very rude and obnoxious with me like she didn't want me to stay there.…

The Regency Inn in Gatesville is a very affordable comfortable motel. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. I recommend this motel, and I stay there every time I visit Gatesville. Great location and parking is perfect.
