The lodge is a beautiful building and the people that work there are very friendly. We were checked in and shown around. There is a lot of common areas that are good. We had the top floor room and it was quite dated. The jacuzzi tub was cracking and the fiberglass was stained funky colors. I would not be comfortable...

Loved everything about the Lodge including the Jacuzzi. Loved seeing the animals including deer and rare antelopes. Loved hearing the wild turkeys. Recommend having the provide directions to the lodge. Bought BBQ in town and had our dinner looking out over the hills and animals. Loved getting up the next morning and seeing the animals and turkeys walking around.

We loved staying here. There are large common areas and decks. Excellent service. The morning safari was the highlight of the trip. This is a perfect place for families. This location is a short trip from D/FW area. We plan to go again.

Bill made our visit so nice. Best staff, best accommodations, best time with my family. The safari tour was great with Sara. We enjoyed seeing all the animals and Sara's knowledge of the animals was terrific.

My husband and I rented the top room, it was very comfortable. The bed was nice, shower, we didnt spend much time in there because there was a nice living area downstairs. We put our drinks and snacks in the fridge in the kitchen. It was truly like staying in your uncles lodge with a great view! We enjoyed the...

Spent 2 wonderful night here. Very friendly staff. Very good breakfast and wonderful guided tour by Chris of Fossel Rim. Would definitely stay here again. Saw a number of animals from the lodge and just had a wonderful place to relax.

Great time, took my three year old grandchild. Recommend that you bring pop corn and snacks. This is the best way to see the park as you are allowed unlimited access. Accommodations were good and looking forward to returning.

We stayed here for a night and it was very nice place. Loved the rustic décor and the antiques. We didn't see any animals as we had hoped from the balcony, but staff were really friendly and helpful. Would stay aagain

A night at The Lodge at Fossil Rim was a lovely experience. The remote rural setting among the rolling hills of Somervell County was breathtaking. I really enjoyed sitting on the long second-story veranda reading a book and watching the Addax antelope grazing nearby. One lonely little Fallow Deer hung around for a while--and after dark I could hear the...

What a great place to stay!! We booked the Egret room and the Hummingbird room in August 2015. They're side by side and share a close bathroom. Both rooms have sliding glass doors that open onto a deck that has a great view of Fossil Rim. We loved having a living room where our kids could hang out in the...
