The Gaylord is a destination in and of itself! Several great restaurants and other options for coffee, drinks and snacks. Great for couples or families with so much to see and do all under one roof. Don't miss the Christmas Celebration! We look forward each...More
The accomodations were great. The grounds are maintained. This is a first class hotel and the GM should be proud of the staff he has assembled. Stayed for 3 nights and never had any negative issues at all.
The Gaylord Texan shares the audacious style and environment of their other properties (e.g., Opryland Hotel). It's so easy to get lost among the winding pathways and endless hallways throughout the campus. They do an excellent job training their people to welcome guests and the...More

If you are referring to the resort credits that come with some reservation packages when booking room reservations, the package resort credits can be used towards any incidentals including parking, dining and shopping. It will not be applied towards the room rate or resort fee or taxes for the two.
If only partial credit is used then the remaining credit is lost. For example, if the incidental is $35 and nothing more is signed off to the room, then the remaining $15 dollars is forfeited. I advise to read the details of the package credits because some packages allow $50 per day NOT to exceed $100 regardless the length of stay, while others only offer $50 regardless the length of stay. The resort credit will not be applied until check-out to ensure that the charges qualify for the package credit, you will need to visit the front desk prior to departure to receive a final folio.

There is a charge for parking - up to $22 per day (it’s by the hour). For free, you can see all the decorations in the Gaylord hotel - train set up too. There is a scavenger hunt for like $12, which would give you opportunities to explore. There are toy soldiers on stilts that roam and you can get pics done. As far as ice, you could just watch the snow tubing and activities. You can get in to see the ice exhibit.

"Room facing the atrium is awesome, but if you are a light sleeper it can be noisy."
