Clean Rooms, clean property. Manager fixes any issue very quickly. I've been staying here for 12 days at a time for the last year while working on a pipeline contract for a major company. Very reasonable rates, well taken care of. Gold course is just 1/2 mile up the road on 290.
Upon our arrival we found the exterior of the hotel to be in bad disrepair and was dirty (i.e., all the garbage cans were full and overflowing, there was debris all over the ground, an EXIT sign was knocked down and was laying on the ground, there were children's toys stored underneath the stairs, a block wall was in bad repair, and there were stains all over the concrete stairs and sidewalk). There were a large number of rooms with the doors left wide open. This may have been rooms still awaiting cleaning, however, it was 4:30 in the afternoon when we arrived and most of the rooms should have already been cleaned and awaiting new arrivals. What really bothered me was if the doors were left open after cleaning, what prevented someone from entering the room and messing it up again. The check-in process was ok, but the desk clerk was less than enthusiastic. Our room was in poor repair and was dirty. The rug was not vacuumed as was evidenced by the tiny stones/pebbles located on the floor which we stepped on with our bare feet. There were stains on the rug and upholstery. There were marks all over the walls and ceiling, and there were holes in the walls which were patched but not finished. The switch to turn on/off the pole lamp was missing and it had to be plugged-in/out in order to operate it. There were two blown out light bulbs on the vanity mirror which needed replacement. There were electrical cords all over the floor. Extension cords with multiple outlet adaptors were used instead of permanent electrical wiring. There were two pictures hung on the wall above the beds, they were both of the same painting. There was a small refrigerator and microwave oven. The refrigerator was turned off upon our arrival. We found a take-out bag located inside it with a sandwich still inside which smelled. The microwave oven did not have enough power in order to heat up a frozen dinner. There was a coffee maker but no coffee, sugar or creamer packets. We had to go down to the office to obtain some. There was a cut metal coat hanger located above the clothes rack which appeared to have been used to open/ unplug something. The bathroom floor was still wet when we arrived, but it was not due to a recent moping because it was still dirty. Needless to say the room was not ideal! The following morning we went down to the office for our free breakfast. There were two tables and a total of six chairs to dine at. There was coffee, creamer and sugar; apples & oranges; a toaster but no bread or english muffins for toasting; a waffle iron but no waffle batter for making waffles; two brands of cereals; and a gal. of milk located in small refrigerator beneath the counter. The coffee tasted bad due to a dirty coffee maker. I talked to the hotel manager about the poor conditions and the lack of an apporpriate breakfast and all he could do is give excuses. He wasn't interrested in satisfying the customer!…
We checked in October 27, 2017 to attend PVA&MU Homecoming festivities. The Manager and his wife greeted us with a warm and friendly welcome. We took care of our business got the keys and headed to our room. The room was clean and cozy. We adjusted the air conditioner/heater to our comfort. There was a microwave, refrigerator, remote control, as well as blow dryer, and coffee pot. There was also free wifi. The bed was very comfortable with snow white fresh smelling sheets and blanket with comforter. It was a long drive from Dallas so we were not disappointed when we showered and went to bed. Loved the Continental breakfast. They also had on site washers and dryers. We have used this hotel for many years and there has been several upgrades since we first stayed there. we love this hotel and the staff is very caring.…
Checked In August of 2016 to drop my son off at college in Prairie View. Room was hot and stuffy and took the air forever to cool it down. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest... we found bugs, spiders and dead cricket in the room.. Only stayed one night. Checked into Holiday Inn Express in Waller the next day.
Not the great place to stay shower pressure to low take to long to get hot water our room smell.. You get what you pay for . My wife and i was not in press with this place. Need some work do on it. But again it cheap.
