A wonderful wedding venue! We had so many comments from guests about the setting and it truly is fantastic. Such a good blend of traditional and modern and the Abbey is stunning! We had to delay our wedding from 2020 due to Covid so this caused lots of stress and we had our second daughter in this time also so lots changed in the course of our planning so when the day finally arrived (34 degree heatwave!) it was a day filled with anticipation! Myself and the bridesmaids stayed in bridal manor which was lovely and the continental breakfast was a perfect way to start the day. It was a beautiful setting to great ready and ample space for the make up artists and hairdresser (Bridal by Ruth who is a miracle worker). The manor is a perfect backdrop for photographs. The air on unit in my room and the fans were a lifesaver as it was so hot, although the manor would benefit from air con being fitted for times when the weather is so warm. The registrars met us there and from there it was a short walk to the Abbey and the isle. Our wedding planner Caylie was off that day due to it being her own wedding anniversary, so that was a shame after she had been there from the start supporting us and knew all the days plans, but we had a handover meeting prior to make sure everything would continue the same and she was very thorough and totally put my mind at rest. Liza and Helen were there to reassure me before I went down the isle which made me feel so much better and to time the entrance for the bridesmaids. We also had meetings with Helen about issues with where to have our evening music and also the change to the flooring in the garden Pavilion and she was very accommodating. Clyde looked after us for the rest of the day and was a calming presence who made everything ran smoothly as we delayed the cake cutting and first dance due to everyone sitting outside for as long as possible. All the staff serving were lovely and made sure we ate and kept hydrated! The food was great and the service was swift and professional from start to finish. We used Wendy from Secret Gardens to supply our seat decor, Love letter and lights which finished off the setting nicely and I made my own signs and name placements. Rebecca Kate flowers provided the most stunning bouquets and centre pieces for us and I would highly recommend her. We moved from the garden Pavillion into St Anne’s for the evening, which I think worked perfectly for us, it was a nice change, a smooth transition and allowed us to have live music and a DJ which was really important for us. All in all a wonderful day…Thank you Stanbrook Abbey! We had a minor issue the following morning but Caylie has since resolved this for us, thank you again.

We had a lovely evening at Stanbrook. On arrival we were greeted by Erin and Izzy who were delightful hostesses. We settled down in the restaurant for the 5 course taster menu and this didn’t disappoint. Many thanks to Izzy and Erin for making it a memorable evening, their hospitality enhanced the evening, and each of the five courses were a joy. Compliments to the chef…….our first visit will indeed not be our last. See you again soon.

I've just returned from an all week stay here with business, this venue is stunning! Followed up with the highest level of customer service and quality of dining, this really is a prefect venue. The staff were spot on amd couldn't do enough for you, from the waiting staff, the receptionists, the cleaning staff and grounds people. I shall be returning again with my wife as I cannot wait to return. Thank you for your great service.

Had our wedding here on August 13th! Everything was perfect from start to finish. Excellency hosted by Clyde, who made the whole experience seemless. Jodie was really helpfully with the planning and organising of our wedding and everyone had such an amazing time. The venue is beautiful, the food was excellent and really recommend hiring the wine cellar for the evening party. The bedrooms were lovely, clean and room service was great. The front of house team made us feel so special. The great hall is stunning and perfect for a ceremony! Thank you so much for making the our day so special! It’s definitely a day we will never forget. Love Nick & Katie Wallace-Jones

This hotel is a wonderful find. I booked it by mistake but was delighted when we got here. It’s a beautifully converted Convent and includes the Abbey itself …rooms are attractive and comfortable . The restaurant serves a great selection of beautifully cooked and presented food and the grounds are peaceful to walk in, I would return time and time again ..for a treat. A great place to hold a wedding .

Checked in at 22:30 after travelling 4.5hrs to be told bar is closed and room service stopped at 9pm Would expect better from a hotel of this rating 😞 Also currently a road closure on the main road to the hotel and the diversion takes you on about 30min detour, not the hotels fault but you would think on booking they may had advised as I believe the road closure in not a recent thing. Very Disappointed Guest that won’t be returning

Our room 201 was beautiful, spacious and clean. Bed comfy. Robes to use, great bath. Lovely views. Bit Disappointed no fridge and fresh milk no DVD player (they will be adding them apparently in keeping with handpicked standards. The Abbey is beautiful and open to look around as were the groom's rooms and brides rooms off it. Fabulous. Dinner was disappointing quality of some items not good, not very well cooked although very well presented. Service was very slow. Especially to get wine, staff had no knowledge of the drinks either. Breakfast (mix up with order, Thanks to chef for coming out to check on us. Very thoughtful) Courtyard area to have a drink lovely as was bar. Drinks reasonable price. Overall really enjoyed it. But wouldn't eat evening meal in resteraunt in future. Also feel the room used for resteraunt lacks character compared with other areas of the hotel.

We had our wedding at Stanbrook Abbey and cannot fault it! The staff were absolutely fantastic from beginning to end. From the moment we booked our wedding 2 years ago Liza has answered every question we had. She is absolutely fantastic and is the most efficient person I have had the pleasure of working with! On the day Clyde and his team were wonderful, ensuring that the music was played at the right time in the ceremony room, checking in on us and making sure the whole day ran smoothly. Becca even made sure some of the evening food was kept aside for us! The food and drinks were exceptional and I would definitely recommend the canapés during your drinks reception. Overall, fantastic venue, incredible staff and the perfect place to get married. Thank you for the best day of our lives!

We used Stanbrook Abbey for our 20th Wedding Anniversary inviting about 30 guests for an afternoon tea. Us and a few of the guests stayed the night too. I was amazed at the professionalism and service offered from our initial meeting with our superb event planner Jody, to all of the other staff. Stanbrook is gorgeous and is a fantastic mix of old and new. The Abbey is beautiful and the rooms are great. Everything is so well prepared, looked after and clean. Nothing was too much bother for the staff and they worked so hard in the background to make our day and our stay perfect. They were very friendly too from reception to bar and waiting staff. Food was amazing and plentiful. Thank you for helping our Anniversary go so smoothly and perfectly.
