We had a great time at the pool. Especially with the service of Dwayne. He made sure me, my wife, and baby boy were well taken care of while visiting the Texas pool. Wonderful experience!!! Dwayne made sure that we had food and drinks and towels. Always checked on us. Great pool experience.

Had a room on the 17th floor inside courtyard. Everything is ok except for the incredibly stupid loud music coming from the pool area and no way to insulate yourself from it… did I say the music was bad? And loud? Not sure what the business model is here

The hotel is very nice. The staff at the front desk and housekeeping were very friendly and helpful with any requests. They have a couple of restaurants within the restaurant and it is in a great location to other restaurants and a park. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this location.

Once again was extremely happy with this property. Even though we had a bit of an issue with housekeeping, Jacob Murillo stepped up immediately and made things right. The M Club is huge with a nice selection of snacks, the pool, second to none. Biggios bar and restaurant on site has really good “bar food” and excellent service. Michelle and Liz are the best. Also, shout out to Antoinette at front desk to make sure everything we perfect for the stay. Great property

If I could give zero stars, I would, for the absolute worst experience I have ever had at a hotel in my entire life! This hotel is the absolute worst! I cancelled my reservation within the required time period, stated on my reservation, to get a fully refundable deposit (over $5200). I cancelled the very next day after I secured a room at the JW Marriott as part of a donor package for San Diego State for the Final Four. I actually had until the following day to cancel as stated on my reservation so I cancelled well within the required time frame to receive a credit for my deposit. When I followed up I was told my refund was being processed and I would receive a credit to my credit card within 3-5 business days. I followed up a week later and was told by Jessica hotel manager that she submitted my refund request to accounting. I followed up another week later and she had to call accounting while I was on hold. She was told my refund was denied with no explanation. I asked how that was possible, especially after I submitted proof with screen shot of my reservation that clearly stated the cancellation policy and that my refund was fully refundable. She actually told me that the the language that was clearly stated exists on all reservations and it doesn’t matter because I had a non-refundable deposit. That makes no sense! I followed the rules and I am entitled to a 100% refund. I have never had an issue with Marriott before this experience. This hotel is different. AVOID

This was our fourth stay over the last 2 years at the Marquis. It will probably be our last. We love the location and the pool. The staff and customer service is just the worst. I stay a lot for business at Marriott and Hiltons. Marriott time and time again has let me down with their customer service. I could not arrive this time with my wife at the hotel so I specifically sent a chat message the day before letting the hotel know she would be checking us in. They said they would get back to me. I forgot about the message until my wife was checking in the next day. They explained to my wife that they could not honor my corporate rate as I was not there. Antonette at the front desk basically had my wife in tears as they jacked the price of the rooms over $200. I called the manager (maybe Brianna? I was so upset at this point I couldn’t remember) and she was a no go and said I needed to come by the front desk. She had no explanation for the chat message not being answered! I asked her to let me know. Then as I came in late that night to show them my ID the front desk said I needed to speak to a manager the next day. It’s been 24 hrs and I have not heard back from her. I don’t have time for all this crap! This hotel needs to get their customer service in order! From top to bottom!

Stayed here during a recent conference at the attached convention center. The hotel staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms are modern, well appointed and clean. Even though the hotel was completely booked, our stay was quiet and enjoyable. The pool deck and its amentities are a gread way to relax after a long day. Would definitely stay here again

I had never been in a hotel as noisy as this one, I came precisely to be able to rest with my family but it was impossible to sleep! The only thing that is attractive about this hotel is the pool, Fairfield has more attractive rooms than this hotel. The truth was I expected a lot more from the Marquis.

What a fantastic experience me and my wife had staying here! From the moment we arrived the valet was extremely helpful and personable and the front desk team made check in a breeze and were very knowledgable about the facilities. We had the sense a lot of conventions/ conference's were happening just with the amount of movement in the hotel but the service from all the staff seemed fully capable and attended to our every need promptly. The pool exceeded our expectations and is one of the many reasons we look forward to staying again. Xochi and Bigio were great even though it took a bit longer to receive meals and drinks than expected, but the quality was worth the wait. When leaving the check out process was good, even though the valet drive seemed very busy (A convention probably just got out) our car was already sitting on the drive ready to go. A truly great experience from front desk, culinary team, valet, waiting/bartending staff and I am sure many more behind the scenes that we didn't get to see. The next time we get to stay in Houston I am sure it will be with this hotel. Bravo to all!

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Marriott Marquis Houston. From the moment we arrived to our departure, we received excellent hospitality. We would especially like to extend our gratitude to Valerie at the front desk for being so welcoming and accommodating. Our King Guestroom was spacious, comfortable, and clean. We opted to participate in the “Make a Green Choice” program. We were able to earn 500 Marriott points for declining housekeeping services. We appreciate that we were offered an incentive to decline housekeeping, as most hotels do not offer this option. Despite the cloudy, chilly weather we enjoyed the infinity pool, Texas-shaped lazy river, and hot tub. The facilities were clean and well-maintained. We can only imagine how refreshing they must feel on a hot, sunny day. During our stay, we had the opportunity to dine at Xochi, Walker Street Kitchen, and Cueva Wine Bar. The food at each of these restaurants was delicious and the waitstaff was very friendly. We highly recommend the Marriott Marquis Houston to anyone traveling to Houston!
