The room was clean had a balcony. The bar was great and the fitness center has peloton bikes. We were checked in quickly at front desk even got a warm cookie. I used the fitness room twice and it was great the peloton bikes with programs. Relaxing and got my workout on 😊
We were very pleased with our stay. This hotel has spacious rooms with nice view. Great location. We were impressed by Sarah Evangelista at the front desk! She provided us with outstanding customer service answering all of our questions. Thank you Sarah!
My wife woke up to another man unlocking our door coming into our bedroom close to midnight and turning on the lights before realizing that my wife and our toddler (16 months) were in the bedroom. Once he identified they were in there, he immediatley walked out. I was with family a couple streets down and immediately rushed on over. I raised the situation to the staff at the hotel. The security team said they would look into video footage and search the hotel. I have yet to here any results on the "what, why or how." My wife was obviously startled and not able to get any sleep for the rest of the night. I woke up and went to go talk to the staff prior to check-out and they said that I would have to call management to receive more info. This tells me that they obviously do not prioritize comfort and safety for their customers. Even if it was a simple mistake on faulty equipment or key cards and someone accidently walking in, staff did not make any attempt to rectify or explain what happened.…
We came to Houston for a family trip on spring break. This was a great stay. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, spacious rooms. The hotel is walking distance to the galleria mall and great restaurants. Will definitely book again!
For price I expected more comfort. The beds was hard and the pillows need to be replaced. We arrived at 3pm had to get a parking pass which cost $30 dollars plus tax. Got ready to go eat supper and the valet told me they gave me the wrong tag, if I had went out with that tag I would have to pay again. There was two valet's working they was so helpful. I dont recommend this hotel
The staff is extremely welcoming, genuinely happy and provide great service! The rooms are great, they are very clean and large. Emmanuel at the front desk is always exceptional! Thank you for another great stay!
The hotel has a smell to it. I can't describe it. It's not pleasant. Couple that with a poorly trained front desk and lack of communication...disaster. My stay was during the week. The front desk didn't acknowledge my diamond status. That should have been the first clue. I told them I had self-parked a car. No mention of how that works or what was necessary. The first room smelled like old chinese food. These have full kitchens...a mistake. But nearly 6 hours into my stay and the entire hotel loses power for 10-15 minutes. It comes back on. But overnight no letter under the door apologizing or explaining what happened. You know, the normal communication thing people do when there's any incident. The unfortunate thing is they forgot to plug the water heater back in so the next morning - nobody got a warm shower. When I got to the desk the next morning, nothing was spoken about what happened. There was a woman screaming at two front desk agents while the line piled up to check out (and find out what happened). I decided the agents had been served, so I turned in my key and asked how to get out of the garage. Turns out they were supposed to give me a hang tag to put on my car and the gate would read that to allow me to exit....except the gate was permanently open. This hotel needs some work - refresh the design (a little, the rooms were pretty good), take away that smell and train the desk. Oh, and my friend "dead" who met me in the bathroom. I call him dead because in a moment he was smashed. …
Excellent Warm cookies upon check in . Quiet room. Comfy bed and pillows. Very hot shower with good pressure. Nice bar lots to do nearby. Eat at Katz never Kloses. Great brunch alcohol menu . Emmanuel was excellent at check in and was very friendly
Carpets stained and torn. Taps are broken. Kitchen has no toaster, no soap, no sponge. They provided me with dirty plates. The laundry is $12 and they don’t work. The hotel smells of marjuana. Just stay somewhere else and you will be happier.
We had an excellent stay at the DoubleTree, with the clean rooms, convenient access to The Galleria, and friendly staff. The staff were very accommodating to our large group. The rooms were very nice and spacious. We would definitely stay again.
