Had to rate this motel and the lowest I could go was 1 circle. It is actually -7 circles. This is the absolute worst, nastiest, unhealthy and unsafe place I have ever "almost" stayed. Nothing like the pictures or the description. Big OYO Owner, rich guy, should be ashamed. Arrived to find lobby door locked and the clerk behind glass, wanted cash deposit. I was used to motels requests a damage deposit but didn't demand cash. We had 2 rooms, not close together. When we drove around to the rooms we saw a bunch of men just hanging out in front of the rooms. Family entered their room while I went to mine. I opened the door to the stinkiest and scariest room I have ever been in, dirty white walls with no decor and dinghy white, stained and cigarette burned bedspreads. Hairs & stains on the sheets, holes in the walls. A connecting room door that you could tell had been broken into before. The white floors were rotting from water stains. Toilet seat was broken, no refrigerator in room and more. I could hear the people in the next room yelling and cussing. I shut the door and went to the other room which had bedspreads like in the picture but it to was dirty but not as bad as my room, so my family was willing to stay since it was late, and we had just traveled 11 hours. I went to the lobby and told the clerk I was not happy, how dirty the room was, and the toilet was broken and dirty. He said he would give me another room but in his flat, mono toned voice told me "The rooms are all alike". We went up to the next room and it was just as dirty, infested, killed a large spider, and saw the roaches. The microwave was broken, there was a hole in the wall where a refrigerator was supposed to be, wires were hanging out of the TV. My family went to check for bed bugs and saw the bottom of the mattress. It was disgusting, stained with bed bug juice and who knows what else. I immediately called the booking company who were like ahh so sorry but no refund. We went to the lobby and showed the clerk a picture and I told him I could not stay in such a nasty place. He responded in that same flat voice, "I told you they were all the same". I did get the $100 cash deposit back but no refund. I can't understand what the deposit was for, the rooms were deplorable. I only wanted a nice, clean place to sleep, nothing fancy. I can't even begin to describe the people hanging around there or the drug deals going on. We left and when we got to the Econolodge (great stay) we recognized the guy checking in ahead of us. He too had just left the OYO, saying it was too nasty and too scary for him. He said he was from NY and that the scene was too much for him. I reached out to OYO by Facebook and shared comments and photos with no response. I will post comments everywhere I can so that no other person makes the mistake I did.

The manager/associate loves to hassle customers with sex talk. The rooms have sticky walls, switches, and floors. The shower was dirty with a dirty rag still in it, as well as no warm water. The sink is clogged, and there's flies in the room. No pool, no microwave, no refrigerator, as advertised. Antenna for TV is only partially functioning, but there's noting to watch anyway, as there aren't any actual channels. Mold in the restroom, smears of white and brown all over the walls. The real Oyo is down the street, as this place is a scam.

This place is very dangerous, I went there with a friend to stay for a week and we didn’t even spend a night. Everything that I read in the comments it’s true. There were drug dealeres, prostitutes, police involved. Did not feel safe. Keep out. Don’t book.

I am writing this in my room right now. I wish I had done more research about this place. I do not feel safe in this motel. If I didn't arrived at 10:30 pm due to traffic I would've stay elsewhere. When I pulled into the parking lot it was full of shady people. The room reeked of the most unpleasant smell. There's mold in the bathroom. Little roaches are also there. I'm just waiting for the sunrise and get out of here and I don't care if I payed for 2 nights. Booked a different hotel for my second night. I've stayed at some bad places before but this one takes the cake. So...stay away.

Dirty and dilapidated motel. Filled with prostitutes, junkies, and drug dealers. It's cheap for a reason. Do not make the mistake I made. You will regret it. It's not comfortable and it's not safe. Stay away.

The Hotel looks like a Junk yard filled with trash everywhere. Worst part is the room had mildew in the bathroom, room had funny smell. Hotel will not refund your money when you book and go there just to find out it is garbage. Stay away you will be disappointed.

Please remove this property from your list! This hotel is a disaster: cockroaches, mold, peeling paint, no lights, no phone, broken tubs, holes in the walls covered with duct tape, smelly a/c, no fridge, no smoke detectors, weed smokers and prostitution. Not safe at all! Management is out of control: yelling at clients like it is norm. I will absolutely contact all Health Departments of Houston for such filthy condition.

I needed a quick room and found this place. Will not stay here again though. Concrete walls made you feel like you were in prison. My family did not feel safe. People walking by your room at all times of night. As soon as morning hit, we left ASAP.

I'm 60 years old and in my life I have stayed at a ton of hotels but this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I had booked 3 nights several days earlier than checkin date. A few hours before my first night I called them to let them know I wouldn't be in the first night because of change in plans but I didn't mind them charging me for it but to NOT change my booking for the other 2 nights. The next day I checked in late, sometime after midnight. When I walked in the lobby I didn't see anybody. I saw an empty cola can laying in the middle of the floor on the other side of the counter and a pair of work gloves on the counter. I said "is anybody there", and saw a head pop up behind a little desk in the corner. Black lady had been sleeping. She looked up but didn't even look at me and didn't even get up until I said I need to check in. She finally got up and slowly walked up to the counter. I asked her about the cola can and she just mumbled. She told me my booking had been canceled. "WHAT?" I told her I had called the day before to let them know I wouldn't be there that first night but was told there would be no problem. But,,, there was. It took forever for her to get me a room. I went to the room and swiped the keypad and started to open the door but when it opened a couple inches it stopped and in such a way that told me the slider safety lock is what stopped the door and that meant it was occupied. I heard someone stir inside but I said "I'm sorry" and I quickly walked away thinking the next thing I'd hear would be a gunshot. That room wasn't close to the office and I had to walk back down the stairs with loaded arms with my luggage to go back down to the office. Told her what happened, took several minutes for her to give me another room. Went to that room, this one further away than the first, and when I went inside I noticed it wasn't clean. Looked like someone had just slept in it and left. By now it's VERY late and I'm VERY tired from working long hours that day. Went back to the office with all my stuff and told her what happened. This time I told her she would have to go check the next room out first because I wasn't going to go through this again. She sent the on duty Sheriff to the next room. He returned and said it was fine. Well everything wasn't fine. After I finally got to sleep around 3 AM I was awakened about 3 hours later by the worst smell of cigarette smoke I'd ever smelled. She had put me in a "smoking allowed" room and the occupant in the room next door was smoking. The smoke was coming into my room through the adjoining room door between us. I'm an ex smoker and normally the smell of cigarettes doesn't smell like that smelled. It was "B-A-D". It was mixed in with the overall smell of the room, which was not good at all. So I had a dentist appointment that morning at 9. I god very little sleep. I went to another hotel down the street for the following night. This was the worst experience EVER in my life with a hotel.
