Great location. Good value. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Natural setting in the midst of the city. Drinks and appetizers in bar enjoyable. Nice Sunday brunch. Clean rooms and nicely appointed decor. Our only negative memory was the view of miles of kudzu outside our window...

I stayed from Thursday to Wednesday in the Houstonian, which is a very typical Texas designed hotel. The whole staff was very kind and carrying, and you felt welcome and appreciated the moment you entered the hotel. The pool area and the sports club, which can be used free of charge was also impressive, and a small run in Memorial...

We've stayed at the Houstonian the last few times we've come to Houston. The beds are comfortable and the rooms have been clean and fresh smelling. We spend most of our time at the pool and the club - my son who is 6 loves the water slide and the pool atmosphere is fun and laid back for families. The...

I stayed at the hotel and quite frankly expected more given the reviews. It was a very average experience. Upon arrival I decided to park the car myself. I found my way to the lobby and upon check-in was handed a ticket to go back to the parking lot and put on the windshield. First, why are they charging for...

We stayed the weekend at The Houstonian for a wedding. First the staff was extremely accommodating. This level of service is not found in many hotels. Second, the grounds are gorgeous. Beautiful trees and an environment that makes you feel you are in the country and not in a metropolis. The rooms are slightly dated but not bad. The bathrooms...

Every year, at the end of April, there's a conference at The Houstonian, that some of my distinguished colleagues attend regularly. This is my third visit here and my second review of the venue. I really have nothing to say but the best. The service and the grounds are so superlative that make me return. Kudos!

First time I have stayed at the Houstonian, it was excellent, staff friendly, first class facilities such as Gym and as I like to run a great running loop around Memorial Park. Breakfast was good with good service, God location 20 minutes to downtown and the the OTC conference

We overlooked our room not being serviced today. No big deal. I'm writing this review as a current guest of this hotel laying in my bed at 5:45am listening to the extremely loud music and massive bass coming from "a large party that checked in" which woke us up at 3:30am. Despite calls by us and others to the front...

Outstanding service. Beautiful hotel. Great history. Get a room on the Concierge level for good value and additional great service. There was some construction on the grounds so we could not full advantage of walking around the grounds. Plan for more than one night so you have time to enjoy it all. We regrettably stayed only one night. Olivetti restaurant...

The hotel is old school and that is not a bad thing. The rooms and decor are dated and the public areas are from a time gone by. But there is something charming about the place and that is mainly down to the attention of the staff. We found all the staff to be excellent. Very helpful, polite and friendly....
