I am pretty selective about where we stay when we travel, whether for business or leisure. Kerrville is a beautiful spot in Texas, but, unfortunately, has no true 4-star hotels from which to choose. There are no elevators. The front desk staff can be curt and unapologetic. The rooms where "remodeled" a few years ago, but no amount of remodeling...

Wonderful updated and beautifully maintained 1960's era hotel and conference center sitting above the Guadalupe River near downtown Kerrville! Absolutely the very best place to stay for a night or more. Helpful staff. Beautiful grounds. But you are forewarned: there are no elevators. Only stairs to second floor rooms. We had room #178 which is a ground-floor handicap room with...

I've stayed at this hotel several times over the years and watched its condition and its prices go steadily downhill. It is now available on Priceline for cheap. It used to attract a nice crowd when the prices were higher, but it is now the Go-To hotel for the (mostly weekends and holidays) Harley Davidson crowd. Like other reviewers, we...

A sweet, little place with lots of character, but if you need a break, don't bother. No elevators, only a spiral staircase and if you have a lot of heavy things this is not the place. Also the bed is in a loft with more stairs! The loft is also warmer than the lower floor with no air which makes...

I've stayed at IOTH's several times and the hotel is ok - fairly clean, etc. IOTH's is close to my family so it's convenient to stay here though there are other hotel options. On this stay I was kept awake most of the night by a drunk, obnoxious, loud group. It started a little before midnight and did not let...

A small quiet town near the heart of Texas hill country. I bet this was a super place to stay when it was built. The natural stone work is impressive. Hopefully the lighting and AC will get an update soon - the mattress could be replaced with the update also. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was...

We completely enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Inn of the Hills. The staff was friendly, the room was very clean, the outdoor areas were very well maintained. Bravo! We will definitely stay again on our next visit to the area. Location is easily accessed from the highway and there are many dining options in the area

Very clean and we'll kept. Very friendly receptionist and staff. Great pool. Friendly bar, good band all at a great price. We drove down for the Twisted Sisters. From the hotel the big sisters route is just minutes away. The way there is also one fantastic ride. Just head northwest then follow the river.

The staff was very friendly. We were a little put off by a musty smell when we opened the door to our room, but we cranked up the AC and plugged in a room freshener. Luckily this did not seem to trigger my allergies. We only stayed one night and would have liked to have stayed longer to explore the...
