Everything here was perfect. Small and remote yet relatively close to all activities. Great dinners at the lodge. Ours hosts - Clare and Peter - were most accommodating in picking and booking best activities in the area. We absolutely loved the accommodations - rustic yet 1st class.

The lodge where we stayed had an amazing view. Although it is a short drive to Abel Tasman, there was some really nice hiking on the grounds as well. Claire and Peter were both incredibly nice and the dinner we had was delicious. Definitely a splurge but well worth it!

We spent 3 nights ina bush lodge which enjoyed uninterrupted views of the valley. The room was spacious with loads of terracing and a bath with a view in a separate room on the decking. There was ebverything needed for self-catering but we had dinner and breakfast included. These were also good and some of the items at dinner are... More

The Resurgence was definitely one of our splurges on this trip but it was worth it. Clare and Peter have built a truly special place, perched high on a hill in the stunning Riwaka River Valley. The very private chalets have a simple luxury. The only sounds are those of the native birds that Peter and Clare are working to... More

We spent three nights here at the end of a busy three week vacation in NZ so we were ready to relax. We had the Lonely Lake Lodge which was one of three lodges. They are somewhat bigger than the chalets. It was great to have the extra room given our multiple suitcases. They provided the makings for a Continental... More

We enjoyed our two days at the Resurgence over Christmas, but we wanted to give an honest account of our experience. It is such a beautiful setting, but the accommodation and food wasn't exactly what we were expecting based on reviews and pictures online. We enjoyed one of the walking tracks in the area which took us about 1 hour.... More

Hi Cornelia, your profile puts you as a Thrill Seeker and Beach Lover which may put you outside our core market, but nonetheless, we were disappointed by your Trip Advisor review. We were delighted with our 2 day stay at the Resurgence and only wish that we could have stayed longer. As others have commented, the Resurgence is an isolated b&b in the Nelson area, close to Abel Tasman National Park. There are lodge rooms and bungalows, set in the natural surroundings of the property. We stayed in the lodge, which... More

Great location if you like 'out of the way'. It is quite and secluded or remote depending on your viewpoint! We are brits and so are the owners: Claire and Peter. Both very knowledgeable about the area and the local 'attractions'. They booked a full day boat trip around Able Tasman Park for us and we were particularly lucky and... More

Hi Kevin I am glad that you enjoyed our Bush Chalets and the Golden Futures day trip in the Abel Tasman, it is a great introduction to conservation and nature. I was disappointed that you did not enjoy the Lodge dining experience - I guess it is not for everyone. We offer 3 distinct dining options - dinner-party style lodge... More
