Date of our stay was August 13-15, 2013 This is a superb location providing escape to the Chinati mountains with activities for everyone in the family. All of the meals were very good. The evening social hour was a highlight which carried over into a great dinner to allow continuing conversations with those new acquaintances we had made or mix...

So....looking for a private getaway? Hours away from any airport, other than a private jet strip next door. This is the destination then! Cibolo is a truly western getaway, a fort restored to its original beauty by history buff Mr. John Poindexter in its old style beauty, along with all the amenities you could ask for in the privacy of...

My wife and stayed for 4 nights. We enjoyed every minute. We had most of our meals there and enjoyed wisiting with the other guests each night. The staff was excellent and met our every need. We looked at the historical artifacts, took a ranch tour and traveled to McDonald Observatory one day.

We stayed two nights over a holiday weekend in 'The Cowboy' room which over looks the main courtyard inside the fort. The drive into the hotel from the highway is about 4 miles and is mostly gravel. Bring your truck or SUV and four wheel drive. You can manage the drive in a sedan but a large vehicle is the...

My wife and I spent three nights here with our grandson. The location, in the Texas Big Bend Country, is spectacular. The hotel is located in the restored and modernized ranch fort (ca. 1857) of Milton Faver, a cattle baron. You won't find a more unique location or resort anywhere and it has received rave reviews in national and international...

We love going to different places in West Texas and this was our first time here. We knew it was going to be expensive and it was. We rented the Presidential Suite. It was advertised to have a TV but it did not work. The signing of the release was odd so I just packed more firearms to protect us...

Last month my niece had her destination wedding at this great historic Texas ranch. They have completely renovated each fort(3) in Tex-New Mex ranch style with great care to be family friendly(we had lots of very small children). Beautiful pool, pond for fishing, skeet shooting, Hummer(rustic) ride around the ranch up mountains with great vistas where you could see for...

All the pictures in the world cannot give this paradise the justice it deserves. I have been fortunate to spend several days at the resort, and it's difficult to find the words to describe my experience, but I will try with a few more: Tranquil, Comfortable, Friendly, Peaceful, Magnificent, Intriguing, Majestic, Thrilling, and Overwhelmingly Beautiful. The history of the ranch alone...

Thank you for sharing our secret! Yes, we are fortunate to have such an amazing setting here in the mountains of west Texas. The authentic fort restoration supplemented with a degree of modern conveniences is a beautiful description. Many thanks. gm@cibolocreekranch.com

Our first trip to Cibolo Creek Ranch was a visual feast for the eyes that took our breath away. There are many outdoor activites to keep you busy during your entire stay. Or sit back in a chair and read the numerous books found in nearly every free inch of space within the resort. No TV necessary in this place...

Although we do serve a set meal for our lunches and dinners we are happy to substitute for any food restrictions or allergies. We should have made this clear to you....
