Stayed in a tepee with kids ages 5 and 7, we all wished we would have planned to stay more than one night. Sleeping in a tepee, in a comfortable bed, next to the warm fire was great! The facility is very well maintained and all the staff super nice! Great relaxing vibe and lots of bunnys hopping around.

Simple. Peaceful. Friendly. Convenient. Arrived without a reservation to tent camp. Nice grounds and facilities. Use the baths and relax! It was cold in November so be prepared if you are pitching a tent but the other rooms on the property look fun and comfortable. Price was $15 for camping and the rooms are up to $180

I stayed in the Princess #18 trailer, which I've since learned afterwards is the only Airstream in the park. I decided on a whim on a Monday to go to Marfa the upcoming weekend, so I booked at El Cosmic last minute. Only three trailers were available, and I picked on looks only. I was initially a little disappointed there... More

Great fun. Made amazing memories. I believe El Cosmico should be a "must" to truly experience Marfa. The maintenance people kept impeccable care of the grounds and it was so beautiful at night with all the lights. The giftshop was extremely over priced but nobody seemed to care, including myself. LOL! Ya'gotta have a tee-shirt!!! Some accommodations are better than... More

El Cosmic is nothing like a typical hotel, so please read up on it before staying so there aren't any surprises. You can camp on the grounds, stay in one of the safari tents, a tepee, a yurt, or a 1950's travel trailer which has been restored. Make sure you know what you're getting: there are communal showers and toilets... More

This is camping at it's best. There is a wide selection of retro caravans, teepees and safari tents or of course you can take your own (tent). I won't lie it's not cheap, but it makes a nice change from a hotel room and the staff are friendly and helpful. It's great being able to shower outdoors but still have... More

Super idea (tents, trailer, outside bathrooms, communal kitchen etc..) BUT - overpriced (90US$/night the cheapest tent) - unfriendly staff (more occupied to check cell phone than to talk to guest) and NO service - dirty showers and dirty sinks (didn't see someone cleaning in 3 days) - only coffee for breakfast - noisy (what could have been a + =... We stayed two nights in a tepee at the end of August, and it was an incredible experience - but not for everyone. Warning: the restrooms and showers are communal, requiring you to venture out into the cold desert night to use the bathroom or walk back from a shower. There is no wifi where you are staying, only in... More

Stayed in a safari tent which was super cool. It had a fan, comfy bed, fun little "mini bar", and a couple windows. Within walking distance of showers and facilities. Was a nice stay. I rented a hot tub, thinking after an 8 hour drive it would be divine. It was set behind the checkin building with a spectacular view... More

We stayed in a Safari Tent and it was great. They had it kitted out with electrics, fans, extra blankets. Whatever you needed. The facilities were great and the staff were really helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend! There's internet within the main area which is perfect for what we needed.
