I travel with my small dog and appreciate the pet-friendly vibe at most La Quinta properties. However, some are now charging a fee, which makes no sense to me—either the property is pet-friendly or not….. My check in was smooth and the desk clerk, who had her young son with her, was very attentive. Our room was clean and mostly in good repair, with exception to the peeling “pleather” desk chair and torn black-out curtain. There was no evidence of prior stays of other pets in the room (though there were some “oops” spots in the hallway. When I noticed we didn’t have enough towels, I went to the desk and the clerk’s adorable son gave me the extra set of towels we needed with a “have a good night”—charming. The exterior of the property was well-maintained, with plenty of pet space (and reminders to clean up after them).…
We stayed at the La Quinta because the four higher rated hotels were booked. This wasn’t the worst stay of my life by any stretch and I’d stay again if I couldn’t find anything else - but it wasn’t average. The place wasn’t filthy. Our toilet seat was broken. Half of the dryers and half the washers were broken. The soap dispenser in the bathroom off the lobby was hanging and about to fall. Things like that. The heated indoor pool seemed clean, but it was cold. In July. The in room coffee was not good and there was a single packet of regular and decaf, in a room for four. The breakfast was the biggest disappointment. The waffle maker wasn’t working properly and was just a big mess. They ran out of yogurt. There was a large bowl of peeled hard boiled eggs, some kids’ breakfast cereal, some small apples and oranges, and a tray of small, inexpensive muffins. They were out of coffee. No one was on duty to tend to the breakfast, as most hotels have. They seemed understaffed, but all their staff were nice.…
There wa beatles in the bed and roaches in the bathroom. There was people congregating in the lobby. Kids was running Something happened our last day because there was lot police present with the staff.
Love this property, they keep it clean! I use them everytime I go back to my hometown of Marshall Tx. Too bad this visit was for a death in the family. Great Location right off 59...close to town and near great restaurants.
We stayed one night in this facility and was charged $120.00 for a room and facility that was totally inadequate. In our room the three light fixtures were rusted and dirty. The mattress had a depression in the middle. The faucet in the bathroom dripped. There was not anti-slip pad for the shower. If you walked on the floor barefooted you felt like you stuck to the floor. There was mold in the bathroom and it appears that they had attempted to caulk over the mold. The breakfast bar was poorly stocked for the price charged for the stay.
