The hotel is completely remodeled and Loved the new rooms.. the rooms and the bathrooms are brand new and extremely clean.. also the water pressure in the shower is awesome.. the staff is very helpful and kind.. complete value for money.. would love to come back.. the have pet friendly rooms too and a huge conference center.. and the property is lovely with a great pool that’s the biggest in the area.. the location is perfect and easy to locate.. overall my experience was completely satisfactory as I not only got perfectly new rooms at the best price in the area but my stay was comfortable too
If you want your kids to find dirty uncapped syringes and drugs in your room then this is the place for you!! Management wasn’t even concerned about it. He let his staff ‘handle’ it.. which wasn’t handled at all.. he didn’t even offer a credit or an I’m so sorry.. he should be ashamed... If my grand daughter was poked by that dirty syringe it would be a whole different story. We visited this rodeway inn a year ago for a pageant and it was under construction. We come a year later for another pageant and it’s still under construction! We brought our trusty black light and there was old urine running down the sides of the commode.. smeared stains.. like dried blood on bathroom door & closet door.. hair stuck on bathroom door.. No elevators with one infant and two children and tons of luggage .. carrying up two flights of stairs!! A year ago they had hot breakfast written on their marque sign there wasn’t any.. (a year ago) and a year later there wasn’t any breakfast at all! Not even a cup of coffee or a piece of bread..No ice in ice machines.. no vending machines at all on 2nd floor.. (Room 223) carpets were so filthy we had to ask the kids to stay off floor (a 7 yo and a 5 yo and a 4 month old.. and lo and behold our 7 yo finds a dirty uncapped syringe under the curtain by the A/C and a pill in the side table!! Oh! No phone in our room.. No information about local businesses. Smelled like Indian food on first floor.. and 2nd floor smelled like old cigarettes and old urine!! Chairs had gross disgusting stains on them. We didn’t even want to put our luggage on it let alone our bodies. We checked in before noon and they charged us for an additional day! And.. we had to explain to our 7 yo innocent girl what a syringe was and what it was for and why it should never be touched..If I owned that hotel I would shut it down then knock it down. Shame on manager for avoiding us at check out.. not offering an apology and letting some girl check us out that hardly spoke English. Well, we notified the Marshall police and being an excellent Choice customer their corporate office will be notified.. we will never EVER return their for a pageant or any other thing!! Children shouldn’t have even been at that location with construction continuing for over a year, disgusting cleaning.. this cleaning crew has no business cleaning anything.. Disgusting!! Ugh! I would sleep under a bridge before I’d stay there again. Conference room chairs were so dirty half the people didn’t want to even sit down..…
Before you stay at the hotel, make sure they have finished all their remodeling. This is a family run Inn and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. The people were friendly, helpful and somewhat apologetic. We arrived late at night, in mid-July 2019, only to find out there was no lobby. The front door opened into a small bathroom-sized "room" that was barely big enough for a desk and a chair. Hence, the promised breakfast had no table or chairs -- just some juice dispensers, yogurts, sweet buns which all had to be carried to the room since there was no place to eat. In the morning, I could see the workers doing construction, so I hope they finish soon. It seemed that most of the few rooms that were occupied, were by those doing the remodeling. So maybe there's hope in the future. The room with 1 King bed was not small and it did have an expected flat TV which we never used. However, the two chairs in the room had torn upholstery while the table had paint chipped away in the front. The bathroom was rather large, but the sink and counter were tiny with only 9 in. on either side of the sink for space. Two people could not stand near the sink. The paint was also peeling from the ceiling. While we did have to ask for more towels, there was no problem with the hot water and the bathtub had room to maneuver. We're not spoiled, so we managed OK. The location is not far from the freeway so that helped for us traveling through. There was no problem with loud noises. It has potential but I would call to find out if the remodeling of the lobby and/or the rooms is complete.…
The room was clean but it is outdated. The TV isn't centered with the bed but that's a pet peeve of mine. The pillows were crap lumps in arm or the one that was extremely hard. Plenty of water pressure and hot water but mold in the tub. When we checked in everything smell like some strange food but through the night everything changed over to smoke you could smell that people are smoking in the rooms.
The pillows were amazing. Continental breakfast was great. Waffles were in the shape of Texas. Pet friendly. Front desk personnel were very helpful. they directed us to locate places to eat. Hotel is changing chain soon. Hope to stay there on way back home...
