I was booked this hotel by booking.com when I arrive they said they don't have booking. We go out and search another hotel but it was late night so did find hotel and again go back this hotel and ask about my booking when I try to call booking.com this boy said yes they have booking. Very bad unnecessary they... More

We stayed for 3 nights in July 2016 in a double room with AC and private bathroom. The hotel is conveniently located in Flores town, it's a small island so everything is close. The location is quieter than others as it is away from the main drag of hotels, restaurants, bars and traffic. The room was basic but clean. The... More

Hot, hot, hot. There is a fan but it makes so much noise and really doesn't cool the room much. No view to the exterior, feels very closed off, almost cell-like. Sheets super scratchy, a very uncomfortable stay. Breakfast is not included so $20 is not worth it. Staff pleasant.

The place itself is nice and in a good location and the room was basic but had everything we needed. However, the lady we dealt with there was extremely difficult and rude. We had not pre booked anywhere in Flores, so just wandered around and came across this place. When we arrived we said we would stay for two days... More

Stayed here for two nights as part of a very quick visit to Flores to see Tikal. The room we were given was incredibly hot but the cost of air conditioning was almost the same as what we had paid for the room, which would have made this an expensive stay. For what we paid I don't think it was... More

I stayed here twice while I was in Flores, once for 3 nights and then 1 night after I had done the El Mirador trek. The rooms are basic, small bathrooms, windows that open onto a inside courtyard, the showers are sketchy but work. The hotel is clean and rooms are cleaned daily. Has cable tv, but it's all Spanish.... More

Clean, safe, basic, this hotel was just as expected. Lots of hot water, firm standard bed. 24 hours security. Dennis was waiting for my arrival at 9pm and was friendly and helpful and has a bit of English. The rest of the staff were nice enough and my stay was too.

A good location for a small price, lake is in front of the balcony :) the only bad thing is the smell inside the rooms, not sure if its a problem with the pipes. The personnel is helpful with information ;)

La Posada de Don Jose was a pleasant, quiet, safe place to stay in Flores. The personal were friendly and informative. In low season we paid 25 USD for a double room with fan, toilet/shower and wi-fi.

I stayed at this guesthouse for three nights, before and after my visit to Tikal. Flores is a destination in itself and I spent one extra day just to enjoy the island. This guesthouse is perfectly located for exploring Flores. It's right on the lakefront and it's a very pleasant walk to and from the restaurants, the bakery (12 cent... More
