I was staying in this hotel for one night and it was incredible, a great view to the magical Chichen Itza Lake, the service is good, they were helping me to organize my trips in Peten and Belize, the price is not high, it has...More
This was our second hotel we stayed at in Flores. I was happy with nearly everything, although the pool was a little cold. But hey, if you expect a heated outdoor pool on a Guatemalan Island, you're probably an idiot.

The hotel is in a good location by the edge of the lake. The town is so small everywhere is central. Most of the rooms are small and the hotel is pricey for what it is. We were overcharged for drinks (slow service) and opted...More
I thoroughly loved staying in this property. We chose it for the proximity to Tikal but we truly enjoyed the lovely island of Flores. The pool was a bonus. The room was very clean. We did have problems with the toilet plumbing but it was...More
This hotel is pricey for the area however it is situated in a great central location overlooking the lake. The perks are the airconditioned rooms, pool, and cable television... however the staff here are extremely unpleasant, they are slow, rude and generally dont care about...More

I am not sure about the airport related part of the question. However, regardign Tikal, you really are best to have a guide take you out there. There are numerous places in town (not far from the hotel) who offer tours. Negotiate, be prepared to walk away in order to get the best price possible. My recommendation is that you sign up for a sunrise tour. They will pick you bright and early from the hotel. The cost is slightly higher for this tour, but the experience is so worth it. The tour will be done by like 10 AM and then you can go back to the hotel and relax in the pool. Another option would be to hire a lancha to take you across the lake.

I stayed there last summer, while the hotel doesn't have it's own parking there is parking on the streets, which means you get whatever space you can find to park in...no guarantees. I really enjoyed staying at the hotel.
