Detailed Reviews
Basic hotel that is clean, comfortable and reasonably priced located on the outskirts of Madrid. The hotel serves a continental style buffet breakfast. Rooms are a decent size with showers. There are restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. There is a Lidels directly opposite the hotel.

+1
We had to be in the Getafe neighbourhood for a few days, so B&B Hotel was an excellent choice for us. Especially given the fact that we had previously just stayed at a Getafe hotel with a less than ideal location. B&B was more centrally located; directly opposite a sizeable Lidl Supermarket, close to a bus stop, several restaurants and within about 10/15 minutes walking distance to the Getafe Central Metro Station. This made it quite convenient and just perfect for us.👍🏽 As I customarily do for my reviews, I'll divvy this up into the 'Positives' and 'Negatives'.
PROS:
Upon check-in, (and for an extension), we met PATRICIA. Patricia was a jovial, delightful woman who ensured a smooth, hitch-free process. Another staffer we encountered, (for yet another extension of our booking), was CRISTINA GÓMEZ. Christina was just as kind and pleasant. We had a nice chat with her. At check-out, MÓNICA SÁNCHEZ was also an absolute joy to interact with. So as you can see, service at B&B Hotel is absolutely fabulous! Every hotel employee we encountered was 100% professional, so B&B deserves tops marks for exemplary service! 👌🏽 I have no complaints whatsoever about the service that was provided at B&B Hotel, Getafe. We were informed about breakfast in the lobby for an additional fee of 8.50 Euros per person. Unfortunately we were so busy, we didn't get to try B&B Hotel's breakfast during our stay, but I must stay that it looked disappointing when we caught a glimpse of it on our way out one morning. The breakfast was mostly comprised of Breads, Pastries, Frittatas, Cold Meats, Fresh Fruit, Yogurts, Juices, Teas and Coffees. They say 'never judge a book by it's cover', but it just didn't look interesting enough for us to bother trying.
I liked the deep blue colored walls, geometric signs/symbols, and a wall with 16 bold paintings hung close to each other by the seating/breakfast area. This is at the Lobby/Reception area. The B&B hotel logo was casually designed with chalk on what looked like a black board. Other written messages on the Reception/Lobby walls were 'smart peope sleep better', 'one cup of free coffee is always a good idea', 'embrace it', 'we have a great connection'- (in reference to the WiFi). This was done in white writing, with a simple font format. There was an actual bike mounted on an exterior wall. Refer to my pictures of it. It was really cool! 🚲 😎 The Reception area was basically 2 black stand alone high desks that housed the computers for processing check-ins and check-outs. These were rather unique. The 'come lift me up' and 'take me down' on the elevators/lifts was my favorite! 😍 Please refer to my posted pictures to see what I mean. The whole place had a cartoony, Pop-Art quality to it that was very appealing to the eye. It was all very fun and funky. 👍🏽
The lobby had a standing fridge with Chocolate, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Chewing Gum, a variety of Sandwiches, Fruit Juices, Energy Drinks, Beer, Carbonated Sodas and Water. At first glance I thought it was a vending machine, but it turned out you could just open it and grab whatever you wanted. Crisps/Potato Chips, Sweets/Candy, Biscuits were additionally arranged on wooden crates. Payment for these refreshments was made by feeding coins or bank notes into some type of money machine on the Reception desk. I've never seen this 'contraption' before in my life. Perhaps I need to 'get out more'! 😄 Had to snap pictures of it. There were bright yellow storage lockers just by the entrance with 'Amazon' written on them. Perhaps an Amazon drop off point? A complimentary Coffee Machine was available. It dispensed about 10 types of Coffees and 4 Decafs. The Café Con Leche and Cappuccino I had were incredible; brewed to delicious perfection! ☕️ 😋
Now for our room; two complimentary medium sized cartons of water were placed on the desk, which I always appreciate, as I'm like a water fanatic. 🙏🏼 The WiFi was superb; one of the fastest I've ever had in a hotel! The air conditioner was very cold and easy to regulate. It had a simple on/off switch. The beds were very comfortable, as were the pillows- so plush and fluffy. 'Spanish' pillows crack me up! 😄 This is the first and only country I've visited that have pillows made in a weird, oblong shape. They remind me of a giant, cotton spring roll, but it's all good. There was a Q.R code by the fridge, maybe for Room Service. We didn't check it out because we were out most of the time. The bathroom had impeccable finishing with a see-through circular sink that was rather cool. The shower pressure was spectacular, very strong and steady. I liked that there was hand soap in a 'pumpable', refillable bottle. This seems to be a common feature of hotels throughout Madrid, which I think is great! 👏🏼 This is the 4th hotel I've stayed in, and all the previous ones had it. I detest having to wash my hands with those annoying miniature hotel soaps. I used to travel with my own hand soap, but I now know then when I'm coming to Madrid, I don't have to bring it along, and that brings me immense pleasure! 😆
CONS:
One of the most striking things about B&B Hotel that fascinated us was the absolutely unbelievable contrast between the Reception/Lobby and the rooms. You see the extent I went to to describe the vibrancy and 'play' with colors, textures and a gutsy theme in the Lobby area of B&B Hotel right? Well the room was not commensurate with the sort of 'exuberance' of the lobby. This was quite peculiar. The black and white room was 'painfully' plain. Please refer to my multiple posted pictures. It was just way too bare for our liking. I stayed at B&B with my 2 daughters. There were no paintings or any sort of decorations hung on the wall. There was also no surfaces or platforms to place your suitcase, as well as no drawers or floor rug. A bare desk in the corner looked almost sterile. Even the white table lamp looked like an instrument that's used for some type of laparoscopic procedure for pete's sake! 🤦🏽♀️ Honestly, refer to my pictures; it looks like an operating room instrument! 😖
I must say that I do 'get' and even admire the whole minimalist style when it comes to the interior design that prioritises stripped essentials/simplicity, but B&B Hotel went too far with it. We all agreed that it was like the blandest, most boring hotel room we'd ever stayed in! The room looked almost like a hospital or clinic ward. Nothing stimulating or attractive about it. Everything was black and white; with no other color, no brightness, no exuberance, no liveliness, no vitality- no life! We had an extra bed placed in the room because there were three of us, so I'm sure an arm chair/side chair was taken out in order to get it to fit in. Didn't change the fact that the room was very small. The base of the extra bed was frayed. I took a picture of it. Being in our room always seemed/felt like there was something missing. We couldn't quite put our finger on it. 🤔 I also didn't like that there was no mirror on any wall, only on the main door. The fridge tiny, and not cleaned properly. No Kettle and complimentary Tea/Coffee accoutrements were provided. This shouldn't be the case in an allegedly 4 star hotel. Thank goodness were aren't avid Tea, Coffee drinkers, but what if we were??? Guess we'd have to go down to the Lobby to grab a free beverage.
I found a piece of a broken eyeglass in the center of the bed that wasn't ours- (between the two single beds). I was trying to tuck in the sheets properly. This is extremely dangerous! Refer to it's picture. Housekeeping need to pay closer attention when making the beds at B&B! Channel selection was poor; not very international. No CNN, (which I happen to rely on heavily for my daily dose of world news). They had Al Jazeera, BBC News, NHK World Japan. These were the only English language channels. There were a few in French, and more in German. I didn't like the about 4 infomercial and psychic network channels that 'morph' into phone sex ad. channels at night! 🙄 Another issue I had with our room was that there was no dustbin, except for in the bathroom. This meant we had to go to the toilet to throw away any trash we had! I eventually got us a make-shift trash by use of a polythene bag because I was sick and tired of always having to walk to the restroom to dispose of our rubbish; what 'rubbish'! 😠
A lot of dust had caked up at the edge of the black headboard of the bed, the side panel of the cupboard and also the edges of the a.c vent. There were also some odd scratches on the headboard. The white bedside lamps appeared to have some unsavoury brown, water-like stains on them. I posted the photos of all of this. The bathroom was done in a horrible emeraldy-green marble that seemed mismatched with the theme- (or lack there of) of the room. It gave me serious watermelon skin vibes! 👎🏽I saw the occasional limescale, algae, mold and rot that is rife in hotel shower corners and crevices. Fortunately it wasn't that bad. No complimentary Shower Cap, Body Lotion, Toothbrush/Toothpaste, Shaving Kit, Comb, etc was provided. Perhaps you'd have to request for them. The shower started to drain slowly by our third night.
So in conclusion, our experience at B&B turns out to be a most average one. I was excited when I saw the Pop-Art decor of the Reception and Lobby, but the room was anything but! The minimalist theme adopted by B&B Hotel, Getafe just didn't work. A total 'miss', as far as we were concerned. The Lobby/Reception is much more lively and exciting, but the room just pales in comparison and falls by the way side! Don't know what the interior decorator/designer of the rooms at this B&B Hotel was thinking!!! 😟 Hope the other B&B branches aren't as drab and 'melancholic' looking as the one(s) at B&B Getafe. This, and the plethora of problems we saw in the room was the reason why I couldn't- with a clear conscience, rate B&B Hotel Getafe highly.
We did enjoy our stay, and as previously mentioned, the service provided was extraordinarily efficient. Nevertheless, there was just way too much wrong with the hotel; including, but not limited to- the obvious 'mismatch' of the outward theme to the inward one. I'd like to acknowledge PATRICIA, CRISTINA GÓMEZ and MÓNICA SÁNCHEZ once again for their lovely demeanor and exceptional service. Won't say I'd never return to B&B Hotel Getafe. It does have a good location in Getafe, but the hotel definitely needs to 'jazz up' their rooms and endeavor to clean up the dust/dirt/limescale/mold that has accumulated in the room(s) and bathroom(s). Throwing in an extra waste bin wouldn't hurt either! 🗑 There's definitely lots of room for improvement at B&B Hotel Getafe, so I hope management will meticulously read this review of mine and try to 'ameliorate' these numerous issues. Thank you.

They are truly pitiful. Rising prices and falling services. It's no longer just that they have removed the complimentary water. They have even removed the glasses.
You mention it at reception and they tell you that it is company policy. Company policy to charge you €100 per night and make you drink from the tap?
Add to the above that there is no maintenance and poor cleaning.
A disaster!!

Good bed, nice bathroom but poor service and welcome. No bottle of water, no TV, no coffee, no air conditioning, this is unacceptable for a hotel of this category. I asked for a quiet room, I was given a room with a view of the highway!! !

We have stayed only one night in October 2024. The experience in the hotel has been much improved, especially in terms of the cleanliness of the room: the shower with hairs and the toilet seemed that they had not cleaned it directly; from the bed better not to speak, one of the sheets was missing, another had a hole, there were several stains that we did not even want to know where it came from, besides that it was full of tmb hairs; the furniture was full of dust. The only good thing is that parking is free.
