We were greeted by very nice staff upon entry to the Hotel.
We had a room with two single beds which were very comfy and the room itself was very spacious with ample closet space too.
The bath area was nice but not ideal - It was not a separate room but a part of the room that was sectioned off using see through walls. Nice design but not want you want for the bathroom area.
The wifi connection from my room was not the greatest, I had to use my mobile data most of the time.
There was no breakfast included with our stay but instead they had a separate restaurant with different opening times throughout the day. The hotel was located near a Lidl and other shops so our breakfast arrangements were sorted.
There are plenty of bus stops nearby and it is roughly a 20min walk from the station which was not so bad for me.

I’d give this rating a 3.5/5 if possible

The staff at the hotel and connected restaurant are super friendly. The hotel has unique decorations and is clean and modern enough. Sadly it’s located in the middle of nowhere and it’s hard to travel to and from anywhere in Madrid. It was a great value for the quality though but no breakfast, pore travel availability and high costs of the connected restaurant leaves it middle of the road at best.

This is a recently built hotel and restaurant with a largely Chinese influence although it is not readily apparent from the outside.

It was a first visit to Madrid for me and, not having reserved any accommodation I took the trip advisor selection. Hotel Menoir Dorsett is not easy to find and thank goodness for satellite navigation. It is located in a largely industrialised suburb of Madrid, although there are other residential apartment blocks in close proximity.

The price of the room at €45 was a very pleasant surprise. The room was spacious and full bathroom facilities provided. What was surprising is the fact there is a full length window dividing bedroom from bathroom so that if you so choose to watch your partner engaging in bathroom activities you can do so.

There is a full mini bar, as well as multichannel television which on the occasion I stayed had a Premier League match showing so despite the absence of an English language channel, the football was a good substitute.

What I found disappointing was the fact that in order to gain access to the restaurant, you had to exit the hotel, walk along a terrace and then enter the restaurant. I am sure that internal planners could make some minor adjustments to facilitate restaurant access, which was all the more necessary on the occasional I visited, because of a tropical storm and torrential downpour.

The lift did not properly function when I visited but maybe that was down to the tropical storm. There are adequate disabled facilities although, the hotel does not have its own carpark and, you are left to park your car on a reasonably busy main road.

Although I enjoyed an evening meal at the Dorsett I was not offered the breakfast nor pointed in that direction.

This is a good hotel, very reasonably priced, with excellent facilities and being located close to Madrid is a place to aim for if, like me you choose your accommodation on the day, rather than advance bookings.

The photographs attached were taken on the occasions I visited. There is a hotel disco on Saturday evenings which continues until about 5 am so if you want to sleep make sure your room is away from noise.

HORRIBLE!! We stayed three nights in this hotel. We went to Madrid for a meeting of friends. We find the sheets in the state that they are seen in the photos and with some stain... the door of the room, very dirty, not a cupboard with doors, not a drawer to store anything...
Dust on the furniture. The upholstery of the filthy chair. The bathroom carpet, with two horrifying black shadows...
Low light in the bathroom...
I don't know how it's possible to offer such a room.
Some roommates without hot water in the room. They charge you every night of the Reservation as soon as you arrive, they are clear that if you see the room, you leave!!

I stayed during the week in a deluxe double room. Comfortable and cozy although it is missing some details. The hotel staff very professional and helpful. The hotel is a 25-minute walk from the Parque Sur shopping center and a 35-minute walk from the center of Leganés. The Bercial neighborhood does not have many cafes and bars but next to the hotel there was a very good restaurant (El Sustento). Ideal for work trips. I do not recommend it for families or couples.

Firstly, let me state this IS NOT a 4 star hotel as claim on other travel websites (and by the 4 big stars on the outside of the building). Plus, claiming this hotel is a "non-smoking" hotel is a joke ...

In brief:

1. The hotel is located in literally the middle of no where. It can only be described as an industrial estate and, as an analogy to London, an industrial estate located in Zone 6 of the underground.
2. There are no restaurants or transportation routes nearby.
3. The hotel smells like an ashtray.
4. Staff smoke by the AC intake fans, so expect cigarette smoke to be pumped into your bedroom in the morning - THIS IS DISGUSTING!!
5. No tea and coffee making facilities in your bedroom.
6. Toilet was faulty.
7. Shower was even faultier (inc. blocked drain) - more water flew into the bathroom then was retained in the shower cubicle.

All in all, pretty damn terrible.

This place is literally in the middle of no where, it's in what seems like a broken down industrial area without even proper footpaths. We booked to stay here for 4 nights and as soon as we got there we felt like bursting into tears, the outside was horrendous and we didn't even see 1 other hotel guest, we felt like we were going to be attacked by someone! and everything was written in Chinese which confused us.

Upon checking in the hotel receptionist looked concerned and sad, and asked if we needed 'information' about the area, agreeing to hear information he then said 'what information would you like?', after looking confused he then gave us said information. He pointed one way and said 20minutes that way is to the train station and the opposite way has a restaurant ..and that was literally all he told us.

When we got to our room it stunk of cigarette! Like not just a little bit, but like 20 chain smokers had been hanging out and having a smoking party in there (even though it was apparently a non-smoking room). Had we not been so exhausted from lugging our bags from the nearest train station (a 20+ minute walk away) we would have left then and there, but we stayed for one unpleasant night then left the next morning! This hotel is definitely not conveniently located if you want to go to the city via public transport... or go anywhere for that matter.

When we were leaving the next morning the receptionist looked even more sad and confused because we were leaving, and tried his hardest to encourage us to stay (he was getting desperate). Also he was wearing the same clothes as the day before and looked as though he hadn't slept or even washed.

I would not advice anyone to stay here, unless their idea of a good time is watching spanish tarot TV and chain smoking continuously.

Also we think maybe the recpetionist was cueing the cleaners of the hotel to flush the toilet and turn the shower on and off in the rooms next to ours, to give the impression that others were staying in the hotel. because we literally did not see 1 other hotel guest the whole time. AVOID this place! You can pay slightly more to get a room much more conveniently located to the city.

Bad:
Location, quality of materials and decoration, lack of ambiance on the hotel. Club attached to the hotel, parking not covered, lack of soundproofing windows, lack of amenities and empty minibar.

Good:
Confortable bed, good wi-fi, good size TV and staff was polite. Good price for the quality perceived.

I have tried to book a group with them and there is no way, first they tell me that they look at my mail and that they answer, then a week I call and the reception girl tells me because there will be no room... it seems that they have spare customers because what a deal...
