Great location , very close to airport but wasn’t noisy, super close to beach and promenade that goes all the way to seminyak! Staff very helpful and polite , breakfast great, room clean and modern , pool Area on roof and bar are cool ! Would def recommend this quiet end of Kuta with loads of local cheap restaurants !

A fantastic stay at this hotel such value for money, rooms are incredibly clean and well air conditioner, the breakfast had a great selection of choices plenty of fresh fruits, pastries, noodle dishes, cereals and many more options. The roof top pool was loverly in the evenings and surprisingly quiet during our stay with a great view of the sunset. Will definitely be returning thanks holiday inn ☺️

I prepared to enjoy nyepi at bali and lucky me, found the promo room from Instagram Holiday Inn Baruna Tuban that they offer package Nyepi 2 night with full board meal (breakfast, lunch and dinner) with affordable prices. On Nyepi March 2019 i stay in here (for the first time in bali when it Nyepi day) This hotel accommodate with 3 start hotel, but enough cool for the facility such rooftop pool, gym with sea view and spacious room. The meal that they serve is great even it not too much variate but still okay. We can walk around hotel and go to the beach access via Holiday Inn Resort baruna which in front of this hotel and still one area, when i stay in here i cannot try the pool since it was a rainy all day so the pool at the rooftop was closed. all the staff are very kind in entertaining during the Nyepi Holiday.

The Holiday Inn Express Kuta is located very close to the airport. It has very comfy beds and it's very convenient for a couple of nights either when arriving or after your trip waiting for early morning or late night flights.
The rooms are quite small and compact with very dated decor and due to the small rooms this is not the place you would want to spend a lot of time but it is convenient for the airport.
Pros:
The beds are very comfortable
They offer tea and coffee making facilities, a safe
The showers have reasonable shower pressure.
The rooftop swimming pool is refreshing and provides pleasant views across the bay and the beach.
Cons:
The reception area is open air and side it is quite stuffy and uncomfortable in the humidity
The bathrooms are small
The breakfast served in the hotel is very poor poor quality and the food is served at dangerously low unsafe temperatures.
The only saving grace was that I have an egg station where they will make you eggs alarm what's to order which has served hot.
The hotel is ok, however the immediate area there is nothing much around, but I would stay here again if I was having to catch early morning or late flights as the beds are comfortable and the location is very handy to the airport.
The hotel provides a free shuttle to the airport which is appreciated and very convenient.

Staying with family and 4mo baby in connecting room. 1. One of the room loose its rubber seal, quickly repaired by the engineering team, thank you. 2. After engineering left i check the room, the emergency lamp is not working, when i open the battery case, surprisingly the battery is wet. why? 3. The room is dusty, you can see the dust on the phone handset 4. The power plug is not compatible with the coffee maker, how can you missed this?! i have to move the coffee maker to the bedside table so i can use it. 5. the baby cot is not suitable for baby, it has no mattress, the staff only put folded bed sheet, and my wife have to bend down to put/pick up baby, not comfy at all 6. during breakfast, i was expecting chili sauce with my omelette, but it taste like tomato ketchup.. then i found out that the chili sauce bottle at breakfast room is half filled with tomato ketchup. 7. my mother asked the staff about the sausage, the staff answered that it was pork, but the food tag said chicken...then other staff said it was beef... what a mess... 8. the restaurant staff is very polite and friendly, but he should've shave his facial hair 9. please do not put your trainee staff to answer the phone in operator if she is not well trained about product knowledge.

I have to say, I am quite a fan of the Holiday Inn Express brand in general.
They are Pretty consistent across their portfolio and great value for money. Breakfasts vary a little from venue to venue, never overly impressive, but neither terribly disappointing...just simple and predictable I guess.
They always have a little workout area, clean rooms, and at Baruna very polite, welcoming and friendly staff.
I really like the way they remember my room preference, and as a Platinum Member, and regular guest they cheerfully upgrade my Welcome Mocktail to a Bali Hai....a small gesture but greatly appreciated.
It is really close to the beach, and as a Platinum member I get to partake of the F&B outlets in the neighbouring Holiday Inn Resort and charge to my room... another small but welcome gesture.
Overall it is a nice little hotel for a 1-2 night stopover, close to the airport, beach and a comfortable stroll along the esplanade to Lido Mall, Kuta and the main shopping districts.

Had a lovely stay. My room wasn’t ready when I arrived at lunch time but the reception staff were very kind, took my bag and gave me a free drink at the rooftop bar while I waited. Also, I really appreciate the upgraded room and recognition as a person who is very loyal to IHG. It’s nice to be looked after.
The hotel is very clean. Modern but basic. It was definitely worth a lot more than the $50AUD per night I paid that’s for sure. Exceptionally good value.
I thought breakfast was a bit ordinary until I was approached about 10 minutes in and was offered bacon and eggs that was prepared behind the scenes for no extra charge. I was under the impression it was just a buffet and then I was pleasantly surprised.
The location is a bit ordinary as Kuta is not really my “vibe”. However I did like that there was a mall, supermarket and a few little souvineer shops within 5 and 10 minutes walk.
The self service laundry was also handy as I hate packing dirty clothes in my suitcase. It cost $7AUD which was one wash and one dry cycle with detergent included. The machines are massive so this is a good bonus if you are planning on travelling as a family. Overall I would stay here again. Very good value for money. The staff are definitely what make the hotel a positive experience.

This is my first time in Bali and Indonesia. Upon arrival, I actually walked to the hotel from the airport. I didn't know there was airport transfers. It would be good to advertise it. Check in process was quick and smooth, Arnie at the counter was a standout as he was very experienced, efficient and attentive.
Room had everything I needed, although the design of the one toilet door to separate the shower and other area is not the best if there are more than one person staying in the room. You have good facilities, however walking to one end seems to take forever. Breakfast was something I look forward to, mainly because of your friendly staff who would go around and chat with us. On my first breakfast day, I had to fly to Jakarta at 0905. Somehow I planned my time wrong and I was just wanting to keep to myself as well. But, Nita took some courage and decided to approach me even though I didn't seem to be approachable. After striking a conversation, I told her about my day trip to Jakarta. She alerted me about the time at that moment which was 0815 and that I should head to the airport already. This I can't thank her enough as I had a very important business meeting.
For the next few days, I always look forward to breakfast to see her and your other team, having morning conversations which is great training but also can be very valuable. Housekeeping is always on time and I find them working on the halls most of the day and they are always greeting guests. As for the laundry facility, it needs to be looked at. The wash cycle isn't complete and the token PACKAGE system is not user friendly. Due to the washing machine not finishing the cycle, I had to go back and forth to reception to get tokens etc. I believe that soap liquid or tokens can always be purchased individually instead of a whole package. Because what do I do with leftover tokens or when I just need more liquid soap? Other Holiday Inn Express that I've stayed in has different ways of doing their laundry, I believe yours can improve.
Overall, I rate 9 out of 10 just because of my experience with the laundry facility.

This hotel did the job but certainly didn’t exceed my expectations. My booking included complimentary hotel transfer, I had planned ahead and contacted the hotel to provide my arrival details, this process was great, I had a driver ‘DIPA’ waiting with a smile in the airport arrivals hall, he was very welcoming and friendly. Check in like most holiday Inn was easy and as I had paid in advance my room was ready and room access provides with a smile. As many expect of snail resorts a welcome drink was not provided (I hadn’t expected being HIEX) but what I did get was a token to get a complimentary drink in the pool bar of which I could use at my leisure and a 20% discount for food and beverage at the neighbouring holiday inn resort, this was a nice surprise. The room itself on the first level was fine in proportion, small and comfortable but with a view you wouldn’t write home about and a distinct smell from the drains that was far from pleasant but one you come to expect in Bali. You get what you pay for and for that I got a comfortable bed. The cleanliness however questionable after I found stains on sheets in the morning that were not of my own (the golden rule that I didn’t follow after a long day was look ‘in’ the bed). My sleep was not great.. I had requested to not be in a connecting room a request I prefer being that I was travelling alone this request however could not be granted as I was told the hotel was full (very hard to believe being wet season/off peak and not many people to be seen) therefore I had to endure listening to the neighbouring resident on the phone on load speaker of an evening and his tv of a morning, Overnight the corridors was extremely noisy with banging doors and yelling until 3am so to say I had a restful sleep would be lying, this was disappointing. Again I queried if there was a more quiet floor/room again apologies from reception staff and claim ‘hotel full’ I gave up and got up early to use the fitness centre which was adequate for what I needed and has an amazing view to look out upon whilst exercising. The pool area is lovely and being the wet season not very busy (for a full hotel????) Breakfast offering was small but tasty and fresh and the service there was excellent, no complaints there. Overall don’t expect too much other than friendly service, hotel near the airport, free airport shuttle and convenience of location to shops/restaurants. If you want quiet and solitude this hotel is not for you.
