Stayed at this hotel as part of a tour to Dordogne. Rated three star but better than that. As others have said, the rooms are tired but spotlessly clean. Our twin room was large. The shutters made it possible to have the door open on a warm night. There was a separate WC from the bathroom. We overlooked the river...

Have just got back from having spent 6 days at The Hotel Royal Vezere, what a fine hotel be it a bit dated but the staff and the wonderful dinners we had made up for any faults. The hotel was sited right in the hart of the town, so very easy to find things. there are great walks to have...

Had a wonderful week in this quiet hotel in October. Beautiful view from the bedroom window . Were well looked after by the staff. The chef prepared tasty vegetarian food for us. Enjoyed a local market festival day. There is plenty of walking to do in the area but public transport is limited.

We stayed at this hotel in September 2015. The location is great, on the river where you can see kingfishers, and in the centre of a nice little town with bars. The hotel verandah bar was lovely overlooking the river. The staff were ultra friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious with a large comfortable bed. The bathroom was adequate...

Located in centre of town, large supermarket nearby, parking outside or in the garage for a supplement. Initial impressions going up lift and into rooms that things were a bit tired, however it was spotlessly clean. Large bathroom, good sized rooms. TV and mini fridge present, shutters on the windows, though no kettle or safe. Staff were all very friendly...

Positive - very good price for a centrally located hotel. Car park was right outside. Even though we came too early to check in, the friendly reception lady gave us a room key to getting in later; awesome! The room was large and bathroom sufficient. Although the decor was outdated, it did not spoil the stay at all. Highly recommend....

It's a 3 stars hotel, but it very clean. It's place is very good, on Vezere river. The restaurant is good. On Tuesday, there is a market on front of the hotel. We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and enjoyed every moment.

This is a hotel for those who are looking at the more basic end of the market. With this expectation, we found the hotel to be good in all aspects. The main drawback of course is that the rooms do not have air conditioning; on the day we arrived the temperature was in the thirties, and even with the fan...

A very comfortable hotel which made us feel relaxed and welcome. Incredibly good value for the accommodation and the evening meals. The pool on the rooftop was delightful. We would definitely come back here.

Great location we had room 310 over looking the river and without noise from the street behind the hotel. Lovely clean room, sheets and towels very white. Food different but very nice, staff efficient good service. No air conditioning which may be a problem in the height of the summer.
