Stopped off recently to spend 4 glorious days in Les Issambres on the Cote d'Azur. Found this hotel online and it exceeded all my expectations. Franck and Luisa are the friendliest of owners, and the warm welcome continued throughout my stay. It really felt like staying with friends. The hotel is situated on the ocean side of the coastal road,...

Stayed two nights. I loved the atmosphere around the hotel. The owners are the warmest people. The beach is close, but very rocky. Definitely not the right choice for kids. The street is also very busy.

Fresh and clean room. Warm welcome and good advices on local restaurants. Good breakfast. All you need for a short stay. Wifi for free. Seaview from our room somewhat limited ( our room was on the ground floor ) Some parking places on the back of the hotel.

At the price I paid to stay here in July 2012 (not September which is the earliest the system allowed me to put in), I did not expect luxury and indeed this is a pretty basic place. That said, the owners do their best to make one feel welcome and to help. We only had bed & breakfast but I...

My wife and visited this hotel on foot of a Guardian Travel recommendation travel during the recent wet Easter 2013 weather and found the room wiht the view on the top floor very small despite being the most expensive room in the hotel. Also there was only one uncomfortable chair so there was no where comfortable to sit in our...

We arrived in the high season at Ste. Maxime one day early for our destination which was fully booked for the day. We were advised to go to hotel Calanques, maybe there was one room left for the night. At Hotel Calanques we were very friendly addressed by the lady receptionist. There was indeed one room left for the night....

This is a really good little hotel. We had a week stay in the family room, two single beds and a double. A room with sea views but not the balcony which I think is on the top floor. It is run by a family who were all friendly, warm and genuinely proud of their little business. It's got a...

Get the room with the view - and try to stay on the top floor. But really nice people, good breakfast. The beach is down a trail from the hotel - which was PERFECT. We had it to ourselves until about 11 or 12. While it's not the most beautiful beach on the Riveria, it was not overcrowded, in the...

I was somewhat suspicious of the Tripadvisor reviews here as there are mainly french one time reviewers. We decided to book three nights in July anyway and I think we got it right. This hotel was a very positive surprise. There was a feeling of warmth and stress free holiday the very moment we stepped through the door. The hotel...

A super find, originally reccomended by a friend , I will be going again in the spring. Ideal for a few days break, away from the big cities of the Cote D Azur,on the gulf of St.Tropez near to Ste Maxime but less than one hour from Nice airport. This small family run boutique style hotel is ideally situated on a rocky...

“Of the twelve rooms, two face inland to the road. Book one with an ocean view to enjoy the wonderful scenery and ocean.”

“The rooms with "Panoramic view" are very small and ours only had one very uncomfortable chair inside. However the balcony outside would be very pleasant in good weather and also was very private. There was one room on the ground floor which was large, had a comfortable bed and two comfortable easy chairs which cost a lot less per night and had a large window but no balcony which would be worth considering”

“Just make sure it is a sea view room. The coastal road on the other side of the hotel has heavy traffic.”
