We stayed 2 nights here and it didn't take more than a day for us to start taking about how we have to come back here. Family owned for 6 generations, very hospitable and friendly. Very comfortable room, located in a small town (Tennenbronn) in the heart of the southern side of the Black Forest. Their kitchen offers organic locally...

This is a great little, friendly, family-run hotel in the middle of the Black Forest. The rooms are a good size and everything was clean. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and has good recommendations for exploring the Black Forest. They have a great restaurant with traditional meals which is very popular with locals. We had a lovely, relaxed...

We stayed for four days in the Gasthof Adler. Our two favourite things about the hotel were 1) The warm welcome and outstanding hospitality shown by all of the family, and 2) By far the MOST amazing German food we have ever eaten. The room itself was clean and spacious, but we did feel a little self conscious as it...

This hotel is a good base to visit the Black Forest area. It is a family run hotel that has basic comfort but is very cozy and welcoming. The balcony rooms are very spacious and have a separate living room. We booked two of these rooms for our family of four but when we arrived we took the suggestion to...

It was a pleasure- the family room was more than we could ask for- spacious, spotless and very comfortable. Our kids loved the huge bathtub, the view was spectacular, dinner was delicious- excellent traditional german cooking with the freshest...

My wife and I have just returned from a very pleasurable week exploring the Black Forest. We could not have asked for a better base than Gasthof Adler. The owner, Christine, and her colleagues made us feel right at home from the get-go. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very relaxing; the restaurant is fabulous, we ate here every night...

Excellent restaurant that serves wonderful food. Staff are friendly and helpful, recommended! One of the waitresses spoke excellent English and provided us with English menus after realising we didn't speak German. Beer was well priced and tasty as well.

Staff is very friendly, food is very good, rooms are very clean and that's about it. Our room was impossibly small for three. In order to open the door to the balcony we had to move a bed and a suitcase. There is though one very annoing thing preventing me from rating it excellent. Found a bottle of water in...

Stayed for two nights and echo everything said by others; excellent rustic setting, wonderful hosts and supporting staff, excellent food. Only limitation was that the wifi on the third floor where we had the far corner room did not work in the room
