Located in a quiet area, our resort is just a 10 minutes walk from the golden sand beaches of Salou. Resort facilities include an exclusive outdoor swimming pool with a waterfall (open from June the 15th September the 15th). Like-new and recent refurbished apartments of 1 and 2 double rooms offering the comfort of private and a totally equipped kitchen: microwaves, fridge, cutlery and cooking tools; as well as air conditioning, satellite TV, music equipment, bathroom and balcony. Salou is a popular tourist destination to enjoy numerous sports and leisure activities: water parks, carting, excursions and many other interesting activities for the whole family. The famous theme park Universal Studios Port Aventura, the second largest in Europe, unforgettable experience for kids and their parents is only 3 km away from the resort.

Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
We stayed a week in a 4th floor two bed apartment which was very clean, well equipped , with pool view large balcony and had its own boiler supplied hot water . The apartments are a bit dated inside and out and the exterior could do with smartening up but the pool and sunbathing area are very well kept and clean . When we stayed there were plenty of available sunbeds . We did see the pool attendant reluctantly removing towels from reserved sunbeds first thing in the morning after waiting for a while . This seems reasonable .. he is only doing what he’s been asked to do by owners . One slightly inconvenient thing is that there are no toilets around the pool area , so you have to go back to the apartment . The apartments are in the “town” area rather than the busy “tourist area” at the other end of the beach . Although there are plenty of local cafes , supermarkets and bars in the area . The apartments are about a fifteen min walk from the beach . Be aware that two sunbeds and a parasol is €25 a day . I had read negative comments about staff in reception , but I found them helpful and friendly . Just because someone doesn’t have a great command of English doesn’t make them “rude and unfriendly “. The staff were helpful in getting a parasol for the hot balcony and were accommodating when we wanted a late check out on our apartment ( albeit with a small charge )

It’s ok. But only just. Rooms are feeling their age and the single beds were hard and uncomfortable. Facilities at this hotel were minimal compared to other Ona properties. Pool looks nice but it is surrounded by grass, or mud once you have a bit of rain or come out from a swim. No bar or facilities either. So we spent every day at the beach and didn’t use the pool once. It’s a nice 20 min stroll to the beach which is excellent. Salou has some nice shops and great places to eat. La Teca and Carn&co opposite the hotel are both excellent especially La Teca. The place and rooms were clean and staff were friendly and helpful. We’re also used to having some sort of folder with local info and help on using the apartment facilities. Here we had to just feel Our way around the washing machine, combi oven etc.

Aparthotel of the Ona chain. I had been very satisfied with stays in other Ona hotels such as the one in Estepona and unfortunately in this case the level is very different.
Outdated structure that could use a modernisation, so-so apartments in a series of 80s blocks of flats.
The hotel is frequented mainly by French people, 90% of them, and they dictate their habits.
The staff is practically impossible to find, the swimming pool is almost self-managed and poorly supervised.
Random rules: the signs show that (rightly) you can't enter the pool dressed but a good half get wet while dressed resulting in very relative hygiene.
For the sake of the series, to make someone happy, the others take care of themselves.

Gosh!!! Still trying to figure out how this hotel got 4 star ratings from travelers. Ona should be more “oh no”. Concluded that if you’re paying for it per night (for around 65EU for lower seasons and around 110EU for June) then I guess it’s passable. HOWEVER, exchange owners be aware!!!
We came here for a week as an exchange with Interval International. Our home property is a 4.5 star one and this exchange has felt like a total let down and feeling very short changed. Our disappointment started the moment we stepped out of our car. The exterior of the building was old and dirty. While the interiors were clean and the kitchen facilities were adequate, the interior was old and dated even though they claimed to have been refurbished. The bathroom looked like the only place it had been refurbished, to be honest. The hot water system is TERRIBLE. From reading past reviews (we should have read reviews before booking) this appears to have been a problem for YEARS but obviously haven’t been fixed. You have to wait ages for the water to turn hot and then you literally have less than 2 mins before it goes cold again. Plus if your next door neighbor is taking a shower at the same time forget it. Don’t even bother. This is a problem esp in Dec with the cool weather. The internet is sooooo slow so unless you pay for the premium internet (12EU for 3 days) don’t bother using it.
On the positive side, thanks goodness for their friendly and helpful staff (esp Mari). If it wasn’t for them I would have given it one star.

We stayed at this hotel for a week at the end of July, as a group of 3 girls. Knowing the hotel was only a 2 star we didn’t have high hopes. However, we were pleased that some aspects of our stay were very positive. The hotel room was very clean on arrival, and the room felt fresh. We had a kitchen equipt with cooking utensils, full size fridge with a freezer, coffee machine, kettle and washing machine, and were even left a welcome pack of washing up supplies. We were happy to stay in a few nights and cook for ourselves. There were plenty of sheets and towels to last our stay and the balcony was a great size too. Best of all, the bed was very comfy! The pool is a great size, with a slide and a deep end it kept lots of guests entertained for hours. And we did not struggle to get a sun bed everyday. The hotel complex is a few minutes walk to the main streets with lots of restaurants and bars, and overall a 15 min walk to the beach.
However, there were a few let downs to our stay. On our first day we were told off by the life guard for drinking a can of Coke on the sun loungers around the pool. It soon became apparent that you are not allowed to eat our drink outside, which we found strange as the hotel is self catering and therefore they are not loosing any money from this. There is also no public toilets available around the pool or outside area, which means having to trek back to your room each time you need the toilet. We stayed on a high floor which made this rather annoying. On our third night our air conditioning unit stopped working completely, which you can imagine was very unpleasant when the temperatures were 32 degrees. The hotel has no staff in reception from 10pm till 9am the next morning, but also has no out of office number to contact, so we had to wait until the next morning to get this fixed. A few nights later we came back to our electric being completely gone. And we were stuck in the same situation of not knowing how to fix this as the hotel has no one to contact. Luckily, a resident helped us find the switch box.
Apart from those few issues, overall we had a pleasant stay. We would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a cheap and easy week away in the sun.

The pool area is the star of this complex. The rooms although a little tired are comfortable, our bed was so creaky it disrupted our sleep at times.the mattress topper was good though. Better to have a balcony overlooking the pool area. The staff are helpful and accommodating, good place for a relaxing stay, could be improved with a bar/ice cream area.

Desk clerk very friendly at time of arrival and patient being we are English-speaking only. Units were very clean, towels, sheets, and blankets were of good quality. For a kitchenette it had adequate dishes. We were able to cook three meals a day for seven days with no issue. Units layout family friendly great location. Beautiful beach town. Centrally located to great super market. We were able to leave daily and go into Barcelona, Tarragona even without toll roads highways were not congested, we felt like we were the only people in Spain. Street parking was not an issue.

This RCI time share was a delightful surprise. Clean and roomy for a one bedroom apartment and with a washing machine and balcony. Very helpful staff when we wanted to book a trip to La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. A really good supermarket nearby as well restaurants. Try seafront Restaurant Casablanca on the seafront at Salou. The apartment is in a residential area. There is parking but perhaps not that near the apartment. There are one way systems and speed limits which make parking a car quite safe. Delightful Salou seafront ten minute walk away and a must to visit Tarragona and nearby amazing Roman aqueduct and the historic town of Montblanc

The best way to arrive to our hotel is stopping at Salou train station, which is just 15 minutes more from Tarragona. After that, you just have to walk a 8 minute distance to our hotel or take a taxi from the Salou train station.
