We visited the Escorial in February 2016 and didn't realise at the time just how good this hotel is. Having recently returned from an awful hotel in Tenerife we found ourselves using the Escorial as our benchmark. We had a twin room with balcony which included a large cane sofa to relax on in the evening or sit and watch...

We have just returned from the Escorial which is our second visit there, which is unusual for us. We returned as we were so impressed with the food and facilities. The food is really good with plenty of choice and variety. The spa and indoor facilities are impressive for a 3 star hotel.

We didn't choose the Escorial as our first choice.. but was very genuinely surprised. Warm and attentive staff ( ok so the one person in reception lets the team down.. ) and good attention to detail. Clean, comfortable and very very good value for money ( which I think some reviewers need to keep in mind). The wellness centre was...

We arrived on Sunday night very late due to transport delays to the Hotel..we were greeted by the night porter / who dealt with giving us our room keys and safe key .we were on the ground floor room 117 at the end of the corridor,a very dated room , overlooking the rear garden and children's play area.. First morning...

We have just returned home after our 7th year of visiting this hotel and once again we weren't disappointed. The staff were very helpful & polite and food was excellent with plenty of choice. Yes, as in some previous reviews, as being British we were in the minority however this has never been a problem to us. The hotel is...

OK, so let's get this clear.....This is 100% a 3 Star rated hotel - all as their signage, and is ( or was during our visit) around 98% German / International. We don't have issues with Germans etc, but when you only find around 4 other English in a hotel, you certainly feel a little isolated. The hotel is ok...

This was my second visit to this lovely hotel. The staff, the food and drink, but most especially the great atmosphere, make this my favourite hotel in Gran Canaria. The staff that stand out, for me, are Elisabeth and Conny (a guy of Norwegian parentage) on reception, Reuben and Juanfran in the Safari bar. I originally had a ground floor...

Just returned from our second visit to the Escorial and once again 3 stars doesn't do it justice. Food and facilities excellent and the staff polite and professional. Free spa, roof top area excellent. Did seem a lack of sunbeds in the garden area than 2 yrs ago. Like many people have commented on there aren't many British guests and...

Myself and 3 friends have recently returned from a weeks holiday at the Escorial. The hotel itself is nice, it's clean and comfortable, the rooms looked bigger in the brochure (we had 2 twin rooms) near shops and bars and 5 minutes away by taxi to the Yumbo centre. The pool area and the restaurant are quite small, in high...
