Came to Tenerife for my third year to and tried a new hotel (Bungalow Barranco) and stayed for 6 nights the only good thing was the Location.... Other than that * Reception staff need to go on a training course for people skills, very rude, laughing in face, shrugging shoulders when asking a question, and making to sign things that are not translated into English. Worse part of my whole stay where the attitudes in reception staff. *the pool was so small literally did 2 strokes and was at other side. *could have done with better amenities in room for self catering had to multi task everything with spoons - did not ask reception as could only imagine there response after previous run ins. *you are demanded to pay €20 each upon arrival this is not advertised on OnTheBeach.com and so I advise the hotel inform this booking agent to add it to there listing as I showed receptionist it is ‘NOT’ on that site at all.
A BIG NO NO I HAD AND NOT FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN, was the fact of evenings the prostitutes that offered business and where rude shouting abuse language after kindly saying no Thankyou trying to get to hotel was awful on many occasions even trying to pick pocket while you was trying to walk away was shocking ontop of the drug dealers you repeatedly have to say no to outside the building daily during day and night. Not very safe at all put me off even more.
The cleaners where friendly, helpful and always happy to help (after I mentioned that the room floor and beds still had 7/8’’ long hair everywhere when I am bald myself and they cleaned it straight away) and that I appreciated as they did more than receptionists with help as well as the security guards who where friendly also.
Only a place that I understand is cheap and you get what you pay for a place to put your head down, get laughed at by reception staff and have to fight off people to get in the evening off the streets. Won’t be returning for sure and will stay at another local place if not Laguna Beach where I’ve stayed previously.
Six of us (men aged 52 -65) stayed here for a lads weekend from friday to tuesday in November 2018.
Location: The location is great and fairly central eg a 2 minute walk to veronica's strip or the beach so all in all, not a bad location.
The accommodation: Small rooms with a sitting room/kitchen downstairs and a bedroom (2x single beds) and bathroom upstairs along with a small balcony. Ours was facing out into the street which didn't bother us too much although if you were a light sleeper, it might not be ideal. It was ok and value for money and as long as you bear that in mind, you will be ok.
Pool: There is a small pool in the middle of the complex which we did use one day. It's ok if you are a swimmer as it starts at 1.6m and goes to 2.5m deep and a very small pool for kids which may not be ideal if you or the kids prefer something bigger. It was fine for us.
Reception: Booked in quick (additional 20 euro deposit) which was promptly returned and no issues. Very helpful with whatever we asked.
Restaurant: There is a restaurant on site which is reasonable and does a very good breakfast and food with a 10% discount when you show your room card. We had our breakfast there and ate out elsewhere.
Overall: It was ideal for our party but not too sure how it would be if you were taking kids. It's not a hotel with activities going on but for a place to stay, it's good. Would I go back? Probably not but I can say that about a lot of hotels as they would have to be exceptional for me to consider it and I also like moving around. All in all, a nice little private place that is value for money
Just come back from here been here a week clean and tidy good location but very noisy at night no air conditioning so redhot every night spiral stair case very dodgy pool tinny never bothered to go in been in bigger bath tubes 20 € per person deposit on room which wasn't a problem if it was explained got it back no problem lots of young lads in the bungalows coming in the early hours very noisy no respect for people all in all cheap and cheerful you get what you pay for

Dear guest. Thank you for sharing your opinion. Although it is certain that our apartments, because of their location, are frequented by some groups that think only of having fun, sometimes they forget that there are other clients who want to rest. We apologize for this circumstance, and we hope you enjoyed your stay.
Less than basic rooms! Why call them Bungalows? 9/10 of rooms had a circular stairway leading to bedroom and bathroom. It was too narrow to be able to carry suitcase upstairs. No soap for when you 1st arrive, no washing up products, NO FAN or AIR CON, no dustpan/brush, no Microwave, no hairdryer, no iron/board. A 12inch television. Some of the things you can manage without, but it would have been nice to have had the option. We faced a 6ft wall topped with lattice and plants, which "hid" next doors swimming pool. There was no sun through the wall, so sitting out was pointless.Swimming pool postage stamp size, no shallow end. The only good point "Bungalows" were near shops and restaurants, but no Canarian food available. The best places to eat or drink Giddy Goose and the Beefeater. I've never wanted the week to be over as I did here, glad when we moved on elsewhere.. I WOULDN'T GO BACK THERE EVEN IF IT WERE FREE!!!
I'm just back from a week in there apartments the room was tiny looking right in to other apartments pool was a joke not once was the room cleaned walls paper thin kept up most nights with noise from pool area not to mention outside my room complained shouldn't have bothered as nothing was done €20 each deposit for room what a cheek save to say won't be back
