Beds are extremely uncomfortable, hard, lumpy and noisy. The staff was welcoming and nice and the rooms were clean enough, but the beds were not up to Hilton standard at all. I won’t be staying there again.

The beds were comfortable… lighting was just perfect, mini fridge, large bathroom and individualized meals on weekends (extra cost) saves you having to leave the hotel for an early breakfast. Chef quality

One night stay while in town for a family event. Good contactless checkin. Digital keys worked well. Unlike other HGIs, no free continental breakfast option. WiFi was painfully slow. Free plan was not useable. For connecting rooms, heavy auto closing doors are not ideal for a family stay and opening up the rooms to a more communal space. Otherwise, clean rooms, quiet, and good location.

I realize that Midland TX is not a "vacation" spot so I should have not expected it to be like the Hilton's in Florida. It was geared toward in and out business travel and not fun at the beach. Needs some improvements on maintenance and overall service.

Room 125 king bed. Upon entry to the room, there was a slight musty/damp smell. More on that later. I tried the digital key (on my cell phone) and while it worked ok, there was sometimes a delay for it to recognize certain doors (and activate) as I went to other parts of the hotel (pool, laundry, etc.). I ended up getting a regular card key soon after arrival. The bathroom was showing it's age. Rusty door frame. Floor of shower was cracked. The bed was uncomfortable and the mattress leaned to one side. The bed frame included hard corners which were hidden by the bedding. More than once, I hit my leg on those corners. I hoped to use the pool but it was occupied by a family/friend group of 8-10 people and was too crowded for others to comfortably use. Otherwise, it was a nice area with trees, chairs, and tables. There is a washer/dryer on the first floor which we used once. The desk staff was friendly as well as the dining staff. Note there is no "free" breakfast but as a Hilton Honors member, at Hilton Garden you can choose to receive either extra points or a breakfast credit. We received the breakfast credit and ordered hot breakfast each morning and ate in the lobby/dining area. The food was good. If you have to pay for breakfast, it looked like the cost would have been $9 - $13 per person. There are a few food establishments on the access road within walking distance. The door situation in the room left a lot to be desired with constant interference between the entry door, closet door, and bathroom door. The room never really felt cool even though the AC ran often. I happened to have a humidity meter and confirmed that the room was 68% relative humidity. Note that 50% plus/minus a little would be typical for an air conditioned space. The high humidity is why the room felt damp and smelled musty. I assume there is a problem with the air conditioner in this room. I'll try another hotel next visit to town.
