Well where do I start? Arrived after dark just to camp with a buddy of mine. Lady at the gate seemed nice. A little hard to find after the sun goes down but arrived safely. Roads are all dirt and like dirt roads are ruff in some spots. There are plenty of trees for shade during day camping which is...

The only reason I did not give Hillbilly Haven 5 stars is the tubes. I have been floating on the river before more than once. If you rent a tube for your cooler you expect to be able to use it for your cooler. There was no bottom to keep it in. We were originally handed a stringy messy of...

Myself & 5 other ladies drove here from Arlington, Tx, it's about a 50min drive straight shot on hwy I20w. It cost $17 per person to use their tubes. They load you on a old, dirty, country school bus to the area of the river where you start the float, it was about a 15/20min drive through a bumpy wooded...

Our family wanted to float and Hillbilly Haven was close to our home in Ft Worth so we gave it a try. I called a few days before our visit and was told to be there right at 10am if we didn't want to wait since it was a holiday weekend. We arrived promptly at ten and were greeted by...

If you need fancy and organized, please stay away from this place. The name says it all. We took our RV for the 4th of July weekend and had a great time. It is very affordable ($25 per night for FULL hook-ups). You can opt to float the river (5 miles) for $17 pp or just take your own tube...

This campground has sewer water sitting beside the RV site and we were unable to hook up the sewer from our RV because it was overflowing from the ground. When we brought to the attention of the owner, he said he might be able to pump it. The staff all had different answers when you had questions, no one knew...

I would definitely recommend this for younger adults or young spirits. It is more of a party campground (granted, I have only been over holiday weekends). The bathroom facilities don't have a roof, but I don't expect a 5 star bathroom when I'm camping! We took a bus down to get in the river and it was an out of...

Overall we had a good time. Keeo ing in mind you are camping. The staff was very friendly and great about checking on us from time to time. Location near the interstate wasn't the best and the facilities were indefinite need of upgrading. We would go back.

Best family time floating down the river. Brought my 13 year old out for her birthday and all 4 of us and our cooler had a wonderful time floating and a little walking due to low water in some places but we live in Texas and the rain is a tricky thing. Check in was easy and staff very friendly....

Looking for a place to float the river with a friend and our mothers that was closer to Dallas than the Guadalupe and found Hillbilly Haven near Millsap through a Google search. Very friendly staff, affordable and the river was easily accessible. Although the road to get to the river was a bit treacherous on an old school bus once...

“The river front RV sites are the best! Pull-through sites are very close together and not recommended if you have a larger rig.”
