I made a reservation here because I love LaQuinta hotels. After reading reviews, my daughter made a reservation. We drove 10.5 hours & arrived at 8:30pm. We found that our room was mediocre, at best. A dresser drawer handle was hanging by 1 screw, 1 of the bed covers had small brown spots/stains, and the light to the shower/toilet did not turn on for 3-5 minutes after flipping the switch. We informed the front desk, and the clerk apologized/ offered to move us, but we declined due to being tired. Then, we found out the entire floor’s carpet was damp, with no apparent reason why. The drain plug was lying in the tub, unglued from the drain, and the sink would not drain with the plug in place, so we removed it. Lastly, the toilet paper was the thinnest 2-ply we’ve ever seen. The room had a mini refrigerator, & they do offer a small continental breakfast, but they have no elevator, pool, or fitness room. I would not stay here again if I was driving through Odessa, TX.…
No a place I would recommend staying. The rooms smell bad. The bathroom was nasty. The toilet was broken. The shower was not clean . The humidity was very high. It felt like I was sweating while trying to get some rest. No a clean place.
Our room was fine except for the floor. The bathroom floor was sticky and dirty, and the carpet was oily-feeling and left dirt on our feet. We had to wash our feet before putting on shoes and before getting into bed. Our neighbors had dogs which barked throughout the night on our second night.
Last weekend we booked 3 rooms for our team for Funny Car Chaos. Having stayed in La Quintas before we expected a certain level of quality. This is not that level. Maybe the rooms in the pics are there but 117 is not one of them. Our room was dingy, thrift store decor, grimy grout around tub. Our teammate found roaches in his room, mold on wall and ceiling of bathroom, hair in tub. No water in pool. Another member of our team said it had been remodeled since he had been there when he was in Odessa for work a few years ago. Well, it doesn,t show. Makes me leary of relying on website pic in the future.
We were in town to help move a child from UTPB back home after the shut down. online from Utah is just as good as Texas. La Quinta took our reservation and made sure we knew they were still open. Parking is easy and the beds were sleepable. Be healthy everyone.
