A pleasant peaceful place of refuge, just far enough away from Austin to slip into a sleepy town and rest. The drive was easy and the environment was cozy and the bed was so comfortable I didn't want to leave the next day. I highly recommend running away from home for a few days and staying at the Smithville Inn!

Beautiful place! We loved our room and hanging out in the pool. Yvette is a great host and very accommodating. We played games in and out of the pool and in the evening walked into town for dinner. The people we have meet in this tiwn have all been great! Definitely will be coming back to stay again!

My son and I stayed here for a week in June. It's now called the Smithville Inn, and the proprietress is Yvette Rodgers. What a lovely little Shangri La! The rooms are comfortable, the garden is amazing, and the chickens are cheerful! But the loveliest part is breakfast with Yvette, who cooks a French country breakfast that will make you... More

Our very basic room is listed online as costing $90-125, but Lauren tried to charge us $153 saying "prices are subject to change without notice" which means they change depending on her mood. We feel she took advantage of our slight desperation though she says "the Lord sees everything." We eventually settled on $107.50 - NOT including breakfast. Had to... More

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience we have caused you. As far as the bug, Mark sprayed the outer area w/pest control a day ago at that time, sometimes water bugs is confused to a baby roach; however, I should have checked the room again before you came, the small windows, that was how it came when we took the... Mark and Lauren were wonderful hosts - even putting cookies out in the room before we got back from our daily travels. They work hard to keep it up and work hard to make sure you have a restful time. They made recommendations as to where to go and the place is set up so that you can come and... More

We stayed 10 days at this lovely B&B in the small town of Smithville, away from the hustle and bustle of busy Austin and it´s crowded motorways. The place is gourgious, the hosts Lauren and Mark made us feel more than welcome and at home. Breakfast was delicious and we had a lot of fun together. Besides I never met... More

A little off the beaten path ( Just a short side trip from Austin), Auberge is the place to go. Lovely rooms, good food, with good folk. Mark and Lauren are wonderful hosts who have become friends.
