Clean hotel and Beautiful beach! Friendly people and good food. New favorite place to vacation. Be sure to check out the jetty for fishing and shell hunting. Also check out historical markers for Fort Velasco located by the public entrance to the beach.

My husband and I came to the coast for a friends wedding. I was so impressed with this hotel we will be back with the family. It was placed just right between everything, close enough to the fun. Also not too close! They can accommodate our family of 6, that is always a great thing in my book. They also...

We didn't stay at the main hotel, but at the building about a half mile east which is supposed to be better than the hotel and has 6 one bedroom units with kitchens so you can cook some meals. The place is directly on the beach and we left the windows open all night to hear the surf. But this...

Falling apart, probably unsafe, yellow water that smells like sewage ... plugged sinks... comfy bed and quite at night made up for the fear of falling through the flexing bath tub. I wanted to run, my husband wanted to stay close to the beach. He won, will never do this again without asking to see it first. Shame on you,...

We enjoy hanging out at the beaches near Freeport more than those in Galveston because there is less traffic down 288 & there are less crowded beaches. We decided to make the most of our trip to the coast by staying overnight. I first found out about Ocean Village Hotel when I searched for a pet friendly restaurant in Freeport...

The place was very good. Nice and clean. People were nice and helpful. Quite and clean beach areas. The hotel was closer to the restaurants. We can see the beach from our balcony and easy access to the beach. 👍👍👍

The room was clean, the beach was great. The fog was a nuisance, but that was not their fault. What was problem was that when I checked in they asked to copy my driver's license. In the shuffle, I did not get the license back. Two days later I was checking in in a Houston Motel and discovered that I...

Great Surfside Beach location and accommodations. Almost every room has private balconies with beach views. The quality is very good, excellent staff-service, convenient restaurant, and wonderful family atmosphere. I am always very pleased when I stay at Ocean Village.
