The price isn't bad for what you get, but you have to go in with your eyes wide open. The place is run by a widow woman who is a hoot! She's trying to hold it together with her daughter, but it does need some major updating. We stayed in #5 which only has a double bed which wasn't very...

We knew we were not checking into luxury accommodations, but this place was beyond disgusting. We were not warned ahead of time but found a hand written sign on our toilet telling us to put used toilet paper in an uncovered can by the toilet! Seriously? Also had multiple signs warning the well was low and not to use much...

We stayed in one of the smaller cabins and although it was not spacious for the three of us, it worked out nicely. The kitchen allowed us to make our meals so we could maximize our time hiking in Big Bend National Park. The owner and staff are very friendly. We would stay again.

Wildhorse Cabin ONE, a week there was great. No internet and no phone service was a gift from God. Restful. It is a CABIN experience. If you don't know what that means, it means you have 2 bedrooms, and a front room, and a bath, and a kitchen. You can grill outside, or watch cable TV. But, you need to...

We stayed in Cabin 6 during our 3 day visit to Big Bend. We are so glad we stayed at Wildhorse Station. Louise and her daughter Wanda are so hospitable and friendly. Louise even said we could hike around her immense property which is right in the midst of beautiful mountains. We did and it was great. Sunset and sunrise...

Like other reviews here - my rating is based on the view and the setting. Keep in mind this is in a very remote area of country. If you're looking for luxury and the best possible amenities - this isn't for you. With that said, we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay here. The starry-night views were incredible. Cabin #5...

Beautiful setting about 5 miles north of Terlingua. Not your typical hotel--but a group of trailers and cabins on the side of a hill. We stayed in no. 5--a one bedroom with kitchenette, love seat and table. Immaculately clean and cozy. If you're looking for luxury, this is not for you. It's very basic--but it's private and in a wonderful...

My rating is based on the view and setting. This "hotel" is really several individual cabins complete with full kitchen, living room and TV. No internet or phone service. It is close to the national park so it makes a good place for a family to stay over several days. We stayed 4 nights and went to the park on...

After checking around for accommodations in the area and not wanting to break the bank for our little vacation we decided on Wildhorse Station. Many of the the reviews we read stated that the outdated accommodations were part of the charm. I can't agree. This property is in need of some serious TLC. Lady who runs it is as sweet...
