Our wonderful stay at Ten Bits Ranch exceeded all of our expectations that we were looking for the Thanksgiving holiday. The hosts, Steve and Jennifer greeted us warmly upon arrival and made us feel right at home. Steve's knowledge of the Big Bend and surrounding area was like having your own private guide to the park. Every morning over breakfast...

My husband & I just spent 3 wonderful nights at Ten Bits Ranch and it exceeded our expectations. The location was beautifully remote, quiet and was a perfect headquarters for our daily excursions into Big Bend National Park and surrounding desert experiences. The owners were welcoming and knowledgeable of the area and gave us valuable information and tips. Our room...

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Ten Bits Ranch in October. The weather was gorgeous… warm and sunny during the day, and chilly at night – so, sleeping with the windows open to the cool desert sounds was delightful. The quiet at night is just stunning. When Steve and Jenny say their ranch is “somewhere... out there!” they mean...

This place is a little gem in a sea of 'motels'! I appreciated the green, conservational approach of the owners. More places should follow their lead across the country. We got the most personalized service we have ever had. Whatever you ask for, you get: privacy, guided hikes, recommendations for activities, etc. We will book next year as soon as...

What an absolutely fantastic time, the town of “Chimney Rock” is a totally believable representation of an Old West Town. My husband and I stayed 8 & 9 October 2008, and I cannot recommend it highly enough (as we did, on the rest of our tour around Texas). The welcome we received was warm and friendly; our room was impeccable,...

Ten Bits Ranch is a one-of-a-kind experience. Imagine a small old western town tucked into a valley surrounded by desert and mountains. You've stepped back in time 100 years except you have 21st century creature comforts provided by a state of the art solar power system, private, comfortable, individual cabins each with its own western motif. The owners will share...

We first stayed at Ten Bits Ranch in April of 2007 and enjoyed it very much. It's out in the boonies and we enjoyed the isolation and scenery. The owners, Steve and Jennifer, did their best to make our stay enjoyable. However, this stay was our last. Steve had not been particularly friendly or polite during our whole visit, and...

It's unfortunate that this person's second visit was not as much fun as his first. Resort owners are people too and try as we might, we cannot always live up to everyone's expectations. In this case, I believe that the gentleman felt that he required more attention than he received without considering that we (my wife and I) have other...

Ten Bits Ranch is a quaint B&B near Big Bend Natl Park. The rooms are comfortable and Steve is most helpful in helping organize your daytrips in the area. I would love to return and recommend it highly.

There are insufficient superlatives to describe Ten Bits Ranch. We were looking for a taste of real Texas; a place to relax and enjoy the great outdoors; a place we could get a true contrast to visiting the more well known cities further east. After a long but easy drive out west, and 2 mile drive along the dirt track...

Secluded and totally beautiful; a gem in paradise. Short distance to Big Bend National Park, where we had the park to ourself at this time of the year. Steve will tell you all about the area at breakfast. We were here for four nights, wish we could have stayed longer. This is THE place to stay when visiting Big Bend.
