My husband and I visited for a mini vacation to Winstar. This hotel, being pet friendly was perfect for us. I was pleased with the fantastic views of the country and the beautiful trees. The staff were very warm and friendly. We visited during a rainy day and this washed out the bugs into the rooms. The most freighting were...

Not sure where to start but we "stayed" here for wedding in Tioga. We ended up leaving and driving to Denton to stay at a Hampton Inn instead. It was worth the drive to leave this place. #1 - I'm not sure that more than 2 people stay in a room a year. The room smelled musty. There are bugs...

I do not recommend this place to anyone, it was overpriced for what it was and had to offer and run down...I went along with 20 or so family members for a family reunion over the Labor Day weekend. Having looked the website over, I felt it was going to be a fun weekend. However the weekend ended up being...

I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room. The bathroom was nice and clean, and there was a jetted tub! Also, there was a mini fridge and coffee maker in the room, but no microwave. The bed was comfortable and clean. If you want to be away from everything, including the internet, this is the place for you.

First things first... They have a fairly new set of rooms which are very nice, and have all the amenities. However the quality and maintenance of this property is in decline. The rooms remain above average for its local counterparts, the grounds are not maintained in the least. The golf course is in complete disrepair and is basically unusable. The...

Our entire family stayed at Spirit of the West for the weekend for our nephew's wedding. My sister-in-law made all the arrangements. The rehearsal dinner was held in their "saloon" and catered by the resort. The food was excellent! We were extremely comfortable the whole weekend. The rooms were equipped with everything you could want from jacuzzi tub to mini...

The Spirit Of The West Resort in Tioga, Texas is a hidden gem. It has been around for years and kept secret by the equestrian industry as their "Hilton Inn In The Country". Their Executive Rooms fit, finish & ammenities compare to that of a 5 Star Hotel (mini fridge, coffee maker, jacuzzi bathtub, top rate mattresses & linens, etc)...
