Well if not for Eric the GM I'd be demanding compensation from RCI. Erics had made an effort to calm the situation of being left stranded at Park City Ski Resort on Thursday 3/9/23, having my vehicle towed from where I was directed to park at check in, and the threat to boot/tow my trailer.
This cute resort was in the perfect location for everything that we wanted to do. Not far from the mountains, close to main street, and lots of food close by. The newly renovated rooms were so clean, and the resort was nice and quiet. The front desk staff were phenomenal, and they did everything they could to ensure we enjoyed our stay. I was hesitant to book this resort because of recent negative reviews, but all my doubts were put to rest upon check in, and the experience here was one to remember! I will be staying here again.
Outstanding visit. New units are a great improvement, Although the pool was still not able to be used, there are new plans to revamp the pool area and all of the common areas. In addition, guests can avail themselves of a substantial reduction in the daily access fee to the Silver Mountain Health Club across the street! We really enjoyed our visit to Park Plaza and staff could not have been more helpful! Thank you!
This resort should not be in operation. They just finished renovations in our unit the week before our stay and asked us to identify anything missing, etc as some items were on backorder. Sure, can do. We quickly noticed there were no door pulls knobs on the kitchen cabinets. No big deal, we let them know. But then the following happened: 1) we can't use the cold water in kitchen because it leaks; 2) the kitchen and living area flooded the first time we used the dishwasher because they did not connect it properly; 3) there was no heat in the room (in Dec in Utah) and staff had to provide us with 2 space heaters. We traded our timeshare for this room in August -- 4 months ago. Why were we given a substandard, not ready for occupancy room?? Not to mention no amenities were available (pool, hot tub, game room, etc), which we knew about because they were still under renovation (6 months after they were supposed to be done); but then the room wasn't ready either. And yet they put us in it and just expected us to deal with the quality. Why does RCI allow this resort to be a part of them?…
Writing this review to help other who are planning to stay here for a winter trip. First, the resort is going through a lot of renovation. I did read other responses and did not see the impact until it affected us first hand. Things to be aware of, if you are coming with an oversized SUV or a roof box on your SUV you will NOT fit in the underground parking. I almost found out the hard way. There is street parking and we were told not to worry about he No Parking from 2:00 AM - 6:00 AM so at the time of the post we were OK and our SUV did not get towed. Do let the front desk tell night time security your car is on the street. HEAT! We did not have heat in our Unit. Most likely through the because of the renovations but this made the stay for my family very uncomfortable. Space heaters are available at the front desk but this really need to be addressed. The hallways were warmer than our unit. The positives, the staff was awesome. Very friendly and tried their best to accommodate us despite the known challenges with the building. The location is also really good to the proximity of the Park City Mountain. Very easy to take the bus to and from the mountain. Inbound on the mountain was 11 minutes on the Red 1 and coming back was 8 minutes on the Yellow 5. Honestly, I would not stay here until ALL the renovations are complete. If I knew heat was not available it just put too much risk on the family. It hard for me to give it a 3 star review when heat was missing.…
Being remodeled, what we say was very nicely done. Pool, hot tub closed being remodeled! Garage, free, parking! Even replacing unit doors and locks! Close to Main Street. Very friendly and helpful staff! Will be back!
The resort was an adequate space for a gathering of adult family members. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The resort has many rooms under renovation at this time along with the indoor swimming pool and there can be sound disturbances if trying to sleep in. The entrance to the underground parking is partially blocked by a large dumpster and careful navigation is needed to get through that space and the tight turn at the bottom into the parking garage. The furniture and window coverings in our unit were very dated but adequate for our needs. The 1st floor patio could use a table outside to be able to sit outside and enjoy breakfast or dinner. The distance to downtown is best covered by use of a car or bus transit, but Park City has a historical downtown space.
This was a great location! There was a sewer issue- raw sewage in the underground parking garage- Horrible smell. The front desk people were amazing- especially Damir and Andrea! Will be nice when renovated and the pool is open. $17.50 per day resort fee should be dropped until pool and hot top are open and place is renovated. Quiet rooms but lumpy bed- I guess will be replaced soon.
My nephew and his family arrived at the resert for a 3 day stay on April 6 and found that all common areas, play areas, the pool and spa and everything else was closed due to a sewer problem. An email just one day before arrival indicated that only the spa would be closed during their stay which was a gift from me, a time share owner, to their family
A few summers back, we stayed for a week and did hikes, cave tour, salt lake city and local areas. We love the indoor pool. The second time here was just 2 nights. We stayed in because it was cold and raining. We enjoyed the room so much, we really didn't mind staying in.
