Nice hotel. A lot of amenities. We had a very expensive suite room and little things stood out such as the blinds were broken, the pull sticks for the curtains were bent out at the top, one day the room was not cleaned after we removed the Do Not Disturb tag, and there was no water in the room. Sure we had a kitchen, sink, and stove...so why not some water. We also had a challenge with final billing and it's still not solved, While this does not make for a bad night, it's a sign. Maybe someone might not notice these things, yet some people do notice them.
5th Visit to Park City…4th visit to The Canyons Resort…1st visit to Hyatt Centric. Luxurious Lodge style Resort with Ski In/Out proximity to the Canyons Resort. Steps away from restaurants and shoppes of Canyons Village. Immediately greeted by super friendly staff. Easy check in/check out process. Rooms were immaculate and COVID protocols followed carefully. Incredibly quiet and peaceful place to stay after a long day of skiing (or summertime adventures). Offers ski valet so gear is ready early and safely stored at night. Pool and Jacuzzi available on site. My room included a gas fireplace which added warmth and tranquility to the room. You are able to Ski In/Out from the Hyatt, but you are also able to take the roomy shuttle to/from the Canyons Village if you prefer. The complementary Shuttle will also take you into Park City in the evening for those that want to venture out. Restaurant facilities were fantastic. I ate most my meals at the Hyatt. The menu selection was complete with options for everyone’s individual dietary requirements. Full Bar with exceptional wine/beer selection also available. The Hyatt Centric at Park City is great for families, couples as well as business travelers since they have full-service meeting facilities. As a solo Traveler I felt welcome and well cared for by all the staff. A special shout out to Juan, Wara and the others who made this trip memorable! My preferred ski's are high performance Rossignol's, my Boots Salomon Shaft Pro's and now my Hotel Hyatt Centric Park City!!!…
Terrific location, attentive staff and a comfortable, spacious and well-furnished room made this a terrific stay for us. We enjoyed skiing and Sundance films. Access to mountain was easier than I've ever experienced. If I had one suggestion it would be for more comfortable pillows (they were a bit firm) and a more welcoming (with some standards) dinner menu at restaurant.
Pluses: Great location for skiing with real, legitimate ski-in, ski-out capabilities via the Sunrise lift. The location couldn't be more perfect for the Canyons side of Park City... and the price reflects that. (I read in reviews that the lift wasn't operating the past few years, but it's definitely running every day right now in January 2023.) Our room/suite was large and comfortable. Complimentary self-parking (and I believe valet parking, but we only used self parking) was convenient once you found the entrance to the parking garage with access straight up the elevators to our suite. Hard product here was pretty good, if pricey. Minuses: Our interactions with front-of-house staff were consistently poor. Most team members didn't seem to have sufficient training and clearly lacked experience in the hospitality industry. This is a resort town, most are on seasonal work visas from outside the United States, and staffing is always an issue, but it led to disappointment after disappointment. Some examples: - My wife went downstairs to grab some take away coffee two minutes before breakfast was due to start. She was scooted away by a team member who said that breakfast wasn't open yet and she'd have to wait two more minutes before she could grab her coffee. - My wife went downstairs to buy a soda at the market. Someone cut in front of her in line -- that's fine -- but, once he checked out, the same team member from the breakfast saga then just started running through some apps on his phone while my wife stood there. He eventually looked up and said, "do you need something?" while she was holding a soda and her credit card. - We asked for housekeeping to come while we were out on the slopes on a Tuesday morning. (Housekeeping appears to be on demand only based on the Hyatt app.) We came back in the afternoon and, surprise, no housekeeping. We called again and it worked the second time, but that shouldn't be necessary. - We asked before arriving if the kitchen had a blender. The representative at the front desk put us on hold to speak with someone and came back confidently answering that there was no blender. We therefore bought our own blender on our way to the hotel. The kitchen DID have a blender, however. "I don't know" would've been a better answer than a definitive 'no' when it should've been 'yes.' - We skied for seven days during our stay. The ski valet failed to put out our skis and poles correctly five of those seven days. Not terrible, but...…
4th visit to the HC Park City. Hotel is clean, well kept, directly on the chair lift, so it truly is ski/in ski/out. Much prefer Canyons side to the PC side of town. Now that the surrounding area has been completed, there are quite a few options for dining and some small shops. As a Globalist - I've been upgraded on all my visits, which is greatly appreciated. Gym area, hot tubs, and pool are clean. Staff is incredibly pleasant and the bellman are eager to help and chat about how your day on the mountain was - they're truly what make the hotel feel special. There are a few cons that I believe could be addressed. The bedding is so incredibly thin, you'll think you only have two sheets, but in reality there's a thin duvet in there. New begging would make for a much more enjoyable and luxurious feeling. TV's are in need of an update. At least give them chrome cast or some type of internet function like all over Hyatts. Lastly, the restaurant. I'd love to get dinner nightly instead of having to go elsewhere, but the menu and service is just always off from year to year. In my opinion, the space is fantastic (minus the random black table cloths they've added? Not sure why they've made it look like a wedding space) but the actual food isn't up to par. Between Wontons, Elk, Oysters, etc. I'm not entirely sure what cuisine they're actually going for.…
It is remarkable what management of Hyatt Centric has done during these times of serious labor shortages. Housekeeing and F&B functions ran smoothly and did not skip a beat; even more remarkably, some of the "foreign" staff barely spoke English. Hats off at all the staff and kudos to all.
My family and I enjoyed our stay and the food was amazing. The staff went above and beyond. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who is traveling. The rooms are well appointed and the location is great.
We arrived early to the Hyatt centric around 1030am. The front desk worked diligently to make sure we were comfortable and offered to hold our bags and to use the locker room to change into our ski gear early to take advantage of the skiing prior to checking into our room. The service at the front desk, the restaurants and the other staff was noticeably great and made the whole experience great. We walked over to the canyons everyday for skiing (shuttle is also available). The valet for ski was also cheaper than the local rental places and much more convenient for securing skis and returning the same. It appears their ski in ski out area is constructed and almost go live timing. We would highly recommend the Hyatt Centric Park City.
The property is amazing and made even more so by the staff, notably Matt, Joe, and Jason. They went above and beyond to make this trip memorable. From being upgraded to a premium large residence upon arrival thanks to my Globalist status, to being greeted regularly and asked if anything, and shuttled around the mountain and into town, everyone went the extra mile to make this one of the most memorable stays in Park City that my girlfriend and I have had. We look forward to coming back for some spring skiing in a few months.
The rooms here are so thoughtfully appointed, very home feeling. The staff is superb, and the cage was kind enough to deliver my late night dinner to my room! Everything is so convenient, the on-site parking is a dream, and the facility and proximity to the mountain are perfect. I stayed for a conference and the conference center is great!
