This hotel is 20 years old! You wouldn't believe it unless you were told. It is a beautiful building and well located only a few minutes from the historic downtown, Olympic Park, and close to the freeway--very convenient for our purposes. For my wife, the visit to Park City was a nostalgic experience from being at the Olympics there. For both of us, it was just very enjoyable, and the hotel provided a nice base. It was quiet and comfortable, well maintained, and served an excellent breakfast. Ski season may bring a different atmosphere, but we were happy with the off-season vibe.
Hotel is clean and the bed was comfortable Microwave and fridge are in the room. Loved the chaise lounge for watching tv. Light sleepers should ask for a room farther from main road. Breakfast was good and included the wonderful cinnamon rolls. Only bad thing was nobody was manning the front desk for more than 30 minutes when I arrived. This is not a good thing for a hotel. Someone should always be on duty.
The location of this property is super convenient, with close proximity to the freeway and walking distance from all of the Kimball Junction restaurants/attractions, including a nice walking trail and a nature preserve. Thus making it a great option for road trip stopovers or quick getaways. Rooms are nice with exceptionally comfy beds, decent sized living space with a comfy couch, as well as a microwave and fridge. Amenities include a pool, a large hot tub, small fitness center and even a sauna! As a quick warning - housekeeping does not seem to honor the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign and entered the room on 2 separate occasions (that I know of) while the sign was up - in one case definitely getting the full show 💀….so I would recommend bolting your doors when you’re inside and keeping track of your valuables.…
My only issue with this hotel is the grossly misleading room descriptions and failure to remedy. We booked the “2 queen bed suite” that described having “additional living area” on the IHG app. No specifics were given about square footage or photos. But it was $40 more than the standard queen, so I assumed it would be bigger. When we saw the room was the same size as a standard queen I called the front desk and was told that the only difference with this type of suite is that it has a steam shower. To get more space you need to book the “one bedroom suite” and they didn’t have any available rooms to move us to. Who wants to pay $40 more for a steam shower at a holiday inn?! And it wasn’t even a nice one and was crammed awkwardly into the toilet room. So annoying and they really need to update the website/app descriptions. Otherwise, it’s clean, fairly modern, good breakfast. And indoor pool/hot tub area looked like it would be great during ski season. Definitely an upgrade from our more budget hotels during other parts of our road trip. Just beware of the “suite” room types.…
We stayed there four nights. Rooms were clean. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was typical Holiday Inn Express fare, but well prepared and presented. Pool, sauna, and spa were well maintained. Would definitely stay here again. Recommend to others.
We were very unhappy when we got to this hotel because of the lack of precise information available to get to the mountains. The first day involved a taxi and a long walk in ski boots. It took us a couple of days to figure out the transportation system to Canyons and Park City. Once that was made clear, the location turned out to be just fine for skiing at Canyons (3mi). Restaurants and supermarket were within walking distance. We were in the hot tub a couple of times and that was fine at the end of a ski day. We would stay here again given what we know now.
First, this hotel is not in Park City. It’s in Junction Station (near Park City). The king rooms are very small even for 2 people. There is an apartment complex right next door. If you open your window blinds plan on seeing into the apartments. There is a sink outside the bathroom/shower area. If you need to use the sink area your spouse will definitely stay awake due to the noise and lights. Breakfast is average. Housekeeping comes but they forgot to give us hand towels. The hotel is near a lot of shopping areas and restaurants. It is a dog friendly hotel.
We stayed 2 nights at this hotel, located next to a shopping center and away from Main St/center of town. The hotel and the room/bathroom appeared to be clean, but the hallways, the lobby and the breakfast area were incredibly hot and airless. The AC worked well, which is something very important for me. The rooms and bathrooms are very small. So is the mini refrigerator. The bathroom has a "sauna" instead of a regular shower. We really didn't like it. When you opened the door of this enclosure, the bathroom was flooded. I do not know who invented this, but I gladly do without it. The breakfast and its setting was terrible. A few mainly frozen selections were on a table next to the breakfast are, but there was no microwave. Trays were not provided to take something upstairs. The staff at the reception desk was very superficial when one asked for directions or information, they really didn't seemed to care. They had no idea that a wonderful walking trail was near the hotel. Luckily the staff at the Tourist Info Center was very helpful. We saw little in terms of COVID related measures.…
We stayed here about one year ago (can see that review as well) and am happy to say that the parking lot is now paved and is without deep potholes. Thank YOU!! Love this property for its easy access from the highway, convenience to walkable restaurants, and great dog walking area. This time around we found the nature path in New Park and were able to do a great walk along a nature preserve and into the New Park community square area...next time we will walk there for dinner. The rooms are great, clean, modern. We didn't use breakfast service or amenities so no comment there. Parking lot on the smaller side so don't count on this for your car/trailer.
We had nothing short of a glorious stay at the newly remodeled Holiday Inn PC. Quincy at the front desk was knowledgeable of the area and was a great help in kick starting our vacation. Friendly staff! Thanks.
