We originally booked a king luxury suite, however they gave us a room with a queen bed instead. After notifying them of the mishap, they moved us to a room with a king bed, but was dated, with a dingy old couch and renovation construction across the hall. To add insult to injury, the shower drain was clogged and would not drain. I let the front desk know the condition of the room. I was told that nothing could be done that night, but management would be contacting me the next morning. I never received a call. Later that day I reached out to the front desk again to see what could be done. I was put on hold only to be told that they were not going to do anything. This is the first and last time I will be staying here. I recommend anyone considering Westgate Park City to stay somewhere else. We’ve come to Park City ever year for the past 5 years and have never been so disappointed in our accommodations. RUN!!!…
such a great experience. very clean facility. the staff was insanely nice!! super accomodating. I read some bad reviews on about the restaurants but I was please with our experiences there. It is a maze! So get ready to get lost but overall great place! Also big perk, they had a steam shower in our room, which was insanely helpful when on daughter had suddent onset of croup! Thank goodness we had that! I wish they serviced our room but they said they don't clean daily due to covid, bummer but COVID ruins a lot of things.
Great services and amenities and staff were very helpful. Highly recommend the renovated rooms. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen and bathrooms were very well designed. Loved the ski valet. Great not to have to carry your skis after a long day on the slopes.
We are timeshare owners at that resort and visit every year. This year everything went smoothly with no hick ups. Our suite was spacious and in good condition. Service is only provided once a week but one can ask for anything missing and also for trash pick up. Was no problem for us and every request, like additional coffee, was promptly filled. I don't want to comment on the somewhat confusing layout of the resort, but over the years we have learned to navigate it very well. There are always stairs one can take to avoid waiting for an elevator. Skier service is good every year and our skis arrived promptly at the Gondola after sending a message to the desk. This time we had a car and parking was fairly easy. The first day we used the Valet parking but then decided to use the Guest Parking and that was fine. We did not use the resort shuttle at all this time. We definitely are looking forward to our return next year. The resort has a plan to remodel the suites because most of them are somewhat dated; so that will be exciting to see. If you have any specific questions, please don't hesitate to send me a message. I will try to answer it.…
We have been coming to this place for years and will never stay again - it has seriously gone downhill. It markets itself as a luxury resort but offers the amenities of a cheaper place or Air Bnb. On our most recent visit the room wasn’t cleaned for a week. When we queried this they said their housekeeping policy was now to only offer room service once per week due to “COVID” despite travelling in Jan 2023, and not a single staff member wearing a mask for COVID protection. I’m fine for them to cut room service, every day seems unnecessary but given the price you are paying, cleaning once a week is totally unacceptable and in addition the trash is too small to only go out once a week. The body wash would do 2-3 days and there was no spare tissues or toilet paper so you were constantly requesting extra items as they didn’t provide enough. I raised this with guest services and they said housekeeping was available ‘on request’. I therefore requested housekeeping half way through our stay and it consisted of them dumping some fresh towels and a few sachets of shampoo on the bench - no cleaning, trash removal or any extra items dropped off that we might need eg dishwashing liquid, hand soap. Lastly, when I asked if housekeeping could change the sheets as there was a hole in ours they said this was only included once a week so we would need to wait. I can’t believe a place that charges this much would even make a bed with these sheets - they should be thrown out! But when it was raised they did nothing about it. Would not recommend and think that given the change to the cleaning policy and service, you may as well save your money and stay at an Airbnb. It seems to be heading in that direction. …
I paid more to stay at this hotel than I would at a 5 star hotel in LA because of it's proximity to the slopes and amenities. I went with a higher category room to ensure some degree of quality and cleanliness. I checked in early and waited for my room. I walked into the "luxury" 1 bedroom suite I booked only to be overcome with an awful smell. It smelled liked the room was not cleaned thoroughly for years and there was heavy dust in the air. I couldn't breathe and have a health condition exacerbated by the poor air quality. I called the front desk. At first, I was given a song and dance. After repeatedly asking for a manager and being told I would be transferred to housekeeping, I finally got to a manager. The manger was apologetic and said he was going to find a better room for me and my family. After another hour, the manager happily called me telling me how wonderful the room was that I would be transferred to. I went to check the room that I was going to be transferred to. The room's air quality was volumes better, but clearly the reason was that no one stayed in that room because the windows looked out on a wall that enclosed an enormous hotel vent and the only thing you could see looking out of the windows aside from the wall was the snow on the ground. I paid more than I would pay for a 5 star hotel in LA to stay in this "resort" only to either end up in a room where I can't breathe or stair at the snow on the ground, which I could do at home. I returned to the front desk to resolve the issue and there was absolutely ZERO understanding or attention. They kept telling me that they have owners checking in who are a great deal more valuable and important than me and my family...regardless of how much I paid. The manager and his manager did not even bother to tap a few keys on their computer to even pretend to assist with the situation. After spending an hour trying to get them to make ANY effort to resolve the matter, they sent a housekeeping manager to my room who agreed the air and smell in my room is awful. That manager said he would put an air purifier in the room to try and resolve the air quality and, if that didn't work, he would try to help figure something out. We had to find somewhere to go for a couple hours while they tried to purify the air, came back and the air was just as bad. No one bothered to check with us to ensure we were ok. We had been traveling at that point since 2 am and, because the resort staff could care less since we are not owners, we had to try and rest breathing in God knows what. Of course, I haven't been able to truly rest because of my health condition waking up every so often suffocating from the air. If I were in a 2-star motel and paid $39 a night for this room, I would understand the circumstance I'm in, but we paid over $1000 a night for this "resort" and this has been one of the worst experiences and one of the worst quality hotels I have stayed in.…
I honestly can’t understand all the negative reviews. We travel a lot in general and take many ski trips (5-6 trips a year) and this is one of the best places we have stayed at. The people are so friendly and nice. It truly is ski in / ski out. They do everything for you - your skis are exactly where you want them every day. The locker rooms with the boot driers are very nice and convenient. The hot tubs and pools are wonderful. The rooms have everything you need to cook meals, relax, and hang out. The steam showers work great and feel wonderful after skiing all day. Valet is free and they have your car to you in no time but you can also self park. It took us 1 day to figure the layout out but it’s not hard at all. I have to wonder with all the people saying they are never able to figure it out if they need an iPhone map just to get around their neighborhood. Cleanliness was great. Our condo was perfect and all the public places are very clean. Love this place and will definitely be back.…
Wow. In the worst way. I travel often, and everywhere, and I have NEVER experienced poor service like at the Westgate Park city. I've written 170 + reviews on tripadvisor, and almost all of them are 4-5 CIRCLES. Not the Wesgate. I've recieved better hospitality from the dog at the Montage in Deer Valley than from the staff at Westgate. The culture and experience here are not worth your time. Let me explain: we arrived as friends looking to enjoy an evening in Park City. Upon arrival we were told that the hotel could not accommodate our 4 cars for parking because we "only had one room", and there was nowhere within the vicinity that could. The recommendation from Colby and Ricardo at the front desk were that we should park overnight at the WALMART parking lot, 4 miles away. We followed the advice of the staff and went to Walmart. Upon arrival we notice the abundance of signs warning that vehicles would be towed if left overnight. So we called the hotel to see if there was an agreement, or special designated area where we could go within the walmart parking lot. The way we were addressed that evening is something I've never experienced from people claiming to be in the hospitality industry in my life. The staff was condescending, rude, and belittled us for calling to clarify THEIR recommendation. The response was that "it wasn't their responsibility". To further prove their point, they cited the multiple places online or in the confirmation email where this "policy" was written. 5 highly educated women, who know how to read and use websites, scoured the email to find nothing, and the website stated "free parking for guests". When we went back to the hotel to find a resolution, we were presented with an "important information" section from ANOTHER GUUESTS CONFIRMATION LETTER! We were also asked if we had ever traveled before as this was a "common practice everywhere." (Again, I'm a world traveller and have NEVER experienced this type of blatent disrespect or parking concern.) What's worse, is the hotel director Jenny had no intention of assisting us. We were lied to by the front desk (they couldn't keep their story straight about where she was, what she was doing, or why the outrageous delay) we waited over 45 minutes for her NOT to show up. As we waited i heard 5 other parties in the line behind us have problems with the Westgate. Some lost luggage with the bell desk, another had their identity and ability to check in questioned (only to be resolved 25 minutes later as a legitimate guest), another had part of His reservation lost by the hotel, there was a distinctive theme of poor service, zero hospitality and awful experiences. We finally left the hotel and checked into the Sharaton in town. The Sheraton will be recieveing a 5 circle review, as their service, facility and parking were stellar. Don't waste your time at the Westgate. My recommendation to the hotel would be to figure out whatever parking concerns they have, better train their Staff be in the HOSPITALITY industry and learn how to treat everyone with respect and dignity. I'll also be contacting walmart to let them know the Westgate "luxury hotel and resort residences" are recommending we park on their property. I hope to be able to amend this review with some type of positive outcome or resolution.…
I’m an owner It was dirty, dated, and for the world of me I can’t understand why I can’t get an updated room in a section near the amenities, after paying for a timeshare and maintenance fees, I have yet to have a good room or experience. They want to make sure you’re up-to-date on what you owe . Maybe they should take better care of the owners. And before you leave a message saying nobody brought this to your GENERAL Manager ‘s attention I have at every Westgate resort I’ve stayed in and you have yet to make it right because you don’t care! So don’t leave a message saying you do and you’re not aware. So if they can’t make it right for someone who owns and he is up-to-date on everything, you think they’re really gonna care about anybody else
We rented a one bedroom last week from a private owner here. Westgate house keeping is responsible for cleaning the unit after each stay. The kitchen bench seat had what appeared to be white icing at four locations , plus a glob in the middle of the table. The unit had not been dusted in 1-2 months and was cleaned twice, in one day, after we asked a supervisor to come by the unit. Still, after that the kitchen tile floors had an inch wide strip of gunk built up along the baseboards. They also left the unit completely open, with our belongings exposed, after cleaning. Another day after hiking we return to find the refrigerator unplugged and blocking the entrance to the unit, with our food in it. A new refrigerator without handles and not unpacked was in the unit. We called engineering and was told that they just let Home Depot delivery into the unit and left. We were given no notice and once again our belongings were exposed to ?? We left a day early! This facility is very poorly maintained. The valet service and restaurants at the resort were good, but if you want a hassle free vacation and like things clean avoid this resort!!!…
