Bear Hollow Lodges #4403, 8-day stay, December 2022: Do Not Recommend. We stayed in this unit for Christmas 2022 and were very disappointed with unit maintenance and customer service from Moose Management. We have stayed in the Park City area multiple times for ski vacations and decided to try a new place. Bear Hollow Lodges is close to Canyons Ski Resort and has a heated garage, which were plus points. We selected a unit with a fireplace, as that amenity is important to my family for Christmas. The fireplace did not work, and Moose Management checked it out twice but could not fix it. The dishwasher leaked (badly), and we found a loose screw in the bottom of the dishwasher on our last day. Multiple light bulbs were out (two in kitchen) and two smoke detectors were going off when we arrived, really disturbing our first evening. Maintenance was at the unit 4 times during our 8-day Christmas stay, and the cable service for the complex was also changed during Christmas week, so we had a cable repair person there, too. This unit is not set up with visitor hospitality in mind. It is a 3 BR, 2 BA unit, but the owner has locked off their bedroom and one bathroom and installed a Ring camera. One of the malfunctioning smoke detectors was in the locked bedroom. There are no dressers or chests for storing clothing in either of the 2 bedrooms available, which are both very small. The owner has also filled the entire pantry with their personal items and lots of stickers/signs saying "Belongs to Owner, Please Do Not Touch," "Owner Candles," "Owner Tupperware," etc. It really infuriated me to be paying over $3,000 for a Christmas visit and having to set our groceries on limited counter space. We had a lot of groceries to store, and the owner had marked a lazy susan in the corner of the lower kitchen cabinetry for guest groceries -- the space was awkward, shallow, and difficult to access. There were no towels for sauna/pool use. In the spot for towels in the closet, there was one sweatshirt blanket (?). We requested a partial refund (10%) for the non-functioning fireplace and maintenance issues. We submitted a form and were told to wait 30 days. After 30 days, we were informed that the owner did not agree to any refund. Moose Management should have given us a partial credit -- under the circumstances, the request was very reasonable, and the management company should not allow an owner to veto reasonable credit requests. Other units at Bear Hollow Lodges may be better than #4403, but we do not recommend this unit or Moose Management. These owners will never be super hosts without caring about the guests' experiences!…
Tried renting with Moose Rebtsl via airbnb. That accepted reservation took our money and then canceled the reservation after claiming rates were not correct. Beware - they are dishonest and not supportive. Accepting an agreements at a published and canceling is bad business. Airbnb has been made aware of their marketing practices and customer service. Save your time ; save your money and go elsewhere…..if I could ZERO OR NEGATIVE rating I would!
We came here to Park City for a 10 day vacation. We booked our stay here in Bear Hollow for the condo + amenities so our grandchildren could enjoy the pool while we are here. They closed the pool for 4 days! With no warning. It ruined it for us and we wouldn't of booked it if they had told us. We will never stay here again.
DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. If I could choose zero stars, I would. They have been completely unsupportive, unavailable and greedy during the unprecedented national emergency of the Corona Virus. We were booked to stay at Bear Hollow. The night we flew into SLC all slopes in Park City closed due to the Corona Virus I tried multiple ways to reach them to no avail. They finally emailed me the next day that their loyalty was to their owners and I would have had to cancel 30 days in advance to get any money back. They even refused to refund my damage insurance policy I bought and I never even stepped foot on the property. Pure greed in the face of such adversity. I even asked if it would be possible to get a partial refund or stay at another time. Nope! No concern at all for the customer. It really is too bad that we are not truly in this together. It’s in times like this that the true spirit of a company becomes visible. They should be ashamed for profiting due to a national emergency. Please consider this and go elsewhere.…
We stayed in Unit 5666 Oslo in the Bear Hollow Village Complex. You can book a stay through RCI or Hilton Grand Vacation Club access through RCI or directly online through Turnkey Vacation Rentals if you are not a member of of either Club. The unit we were in had 4 bedrooms (master bedroom w/en suite bathroom, mini suite w/en suite bathroom, a single bed and a trundle bed w a shared bathroom), 3 1/2 baths, 2 air conditioning units, a hot tub, fully stocked kitchen (dishes, glassware, silverware, pots and pans, cork screws, gas stove, refrigerator w/ice maker etc.). Other amenities in the unit were a washer and dryer, hair dryer, internet access, cable tv, use of an Apple computer, a 2 car garage with a tandem bike and an initial supply of toilet paper, soap, shampoo and conditioner. There were also a supply of seasonings, aluminum foil, plastic wrap and other items that were probably left by the owners and previous renters. The unit was in very good shape and looked like it had new carpeting. There was no Kleenex or beach towels but that was not a big issue. The kitchen table seated 6 and the kitchen island seated an addition 2 people. You also have the use of the Club House which is a short walk from the unit (about a 2-3 "block" walk. The Club House is accessed by key card which should be in your unit. The Club House has a kitchenette (microwave, refrigerator, sink with running water and a dishwasher), fitness room (free weights, 3 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, weight machine and 2 stationary bikes (one upright one recumbent)), vending machines (soft drinks and candy), a sitting area with a fire place, a tv area with a large flat screen tv and a business center with 2 computers and a printer. On the outside there is a swimming pool, hot tub, grilling area, sunning area and a fire pit. There are no towels available so you need to bring your own towels from your unit. There is a small basketball court, soccer area and putting green with a sand trap across the street from the unit we were in. There is also a large dog park a short walk from the area and the entire complex has many stations for bags and disposal of dog droppings and is very dog friendly. There is a WalMart, Smith's grocery store, Whole Foods Store, Gas Station, several fast food restaurants, several sit down restaurants and many stores including a Best Buy, Bed, Bath and Beyond and other smaller stores. We definitely enjoyed our stay in the area and definitely recommend this complex.…
5569 Oslo Ln apt 3405 is a lovely top floor unit with upgraded kitchen and bath. No noise from neighbors and location is great! Close to Canyon's resort, the Olympic Park and the Outlets, plus walking distance to Redstone shops and restaurants. Great views from the balcony. The property is well managed by Wyndham Vacation Rentals.
We spent 4 nights here at the end of february. The guests before us lost the club house key so we didn't have access to the gym or hot tub. The apartment is a good size for the price, but had a lot of wear and tear. Only 5 chairs remain in the 6 seat table, and 2 of them were so broken you couldn't sit in them. The smoke detectors were off the ceiling for some reason. We had 3 bedrooms, 2 with queen beds and 1 with 3 twin beds. The bedding was old and worn. Location was very accesible from the main road and close to the outlet mall, wallmart and shopping center, but a good 25 mins drive to Deer Valley where we were skiing. We were there during a winter storm and the roads to the complex were cleaned quickly.
We were 4 adults and a kid. Nice unit with 4 beds and 2 baths. Appliances were modern including washer and dryer. It's a short drive to the Canyons. Not really walking distance. We were skiing. The walls were a bit thin. There was a party above us until 3 am. Indoor parking for one car. Hot tub was good. TV's were good. It's an owner unit. Our unit had very good amenities, furnishings, and kitchenware.
We booked a 3 bedroom condo for our girls' trip to Park City. The room was beautiful and everyone in my group was pleased with it. The check-in process is kind of strange as you have to go to a completely different address to do so. I'm happy that I noticed the check in address at the bottom of the fine print in my booking, because the Expedia app will map you to the actual condo unit. Also, they didn't give us clear directions to access the garage so we spent forever trying to figure out how to open the garage. We found out later that we had to walk inside the garage and open it because the garage door opener was sitting in our unit. In the hot garage, we didn't see an elevator and so dragged our luggage up a flight of stairs. Later, we discovered the elevator we could have used. Better instructions for the garage and an "Elevator" sign would be much appreciated. Once we were inside the unit, we were blown away by how nice it is. The beds were comfortable. One of my friends slept in the top bunk of a bunk bed, so the only thing we would have wished for is 3 regular queen beds. The kitchen and living area are gorgeous, with granite countertops and beautiful wood floors. The kitchen was workable, but was missing things like measuring spoons. Inside, we did find some ants marching around the dining rug and a few on the kitchen counters, but the front desk said they would promptly fumigate once we alerted them to it. The grounds are very nice, but there was not very much B building Parking. Also, the pool is not easy to get to from our building. You more or less have to walk back to a road, down a block, then back towards the pool, even though it's directly lined up with only one other building in between. They really should have allowed a walk through a courtyard. The pool closes early (9:00 PM), so we never had the opportunity to use it. Overall, we would stay here again. It helps that we now know the lay of the land. It's so much better than separate hotel rooms for a large group.…
We stayed for 8 nights at 5633 Bobsled Blvd., along with some close friends and their kids. We had a total of 4 adults and 6 kids, and there was plenty of room for everyone. The house was very nice, comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. It was 3 stories, with 4 bedrooms, 3-1/2 baths, 2 fireplaces, 2 balconies with beautiful views, a laundry room, a garage, and a hot tub. It was a wonderful place to spend a week while in Park City for skiing. The location was excellent. It's 2 minutes to the Redstone Center shopping center, 5 minutes to The Canyons village, 10 minutes to the Park City village, and less than 15 minutes to Main Street and Deer Valley. Although it lacks the convenience of ski-in, ski-out, it's far less expensive (we paid about $400/night, and splitting that between 2 families made it very affordable). It's a nice neighborhood, with walkways and a central clubhouse with a small heated pool. If you do stay at Bear Hollow Village, I recommend renting a unit on Bobsled Blvd, where you are more likely to have great views. Most of the units on the other streets are surrounded by other homes, blocking views of the surrounding mountains. …
