The good - easy walk to Park City Mountain Resort, covered parking included, a well stocked kitchen with new appliances. Queen over queen bunk bed in 2nd bedroom is good if you all get along. Hot tub is great. The bad - master bedroom is small and is consumed by the king bed. Hard to walk around the bed. Master bath is elevated off the floor and creates a safety hazard in getting in/out of the tub/shower. This is very dangerous. The ugly - no central heat, widely varying temps in rooms and we were constantly adjusting radiant heat to try and stay comfortable. I understand this is not a $500 a night luxury suite, but I expected a little better for $350 a night.
The condo is much smaller than it appears in the pictures. The master bedroom is cramped with no end tables and a platform bed that smaller people have to jump down. The bedrooms have no air vents so it gets very hot when you shut the door. The beds also do not come with a full set of sheets and no duvet cover which is unsettling. Kitchen not fully equipped lacking things like baking sheets or Tupperware.
We stayed in Unit #204. Condo was spacious, clean and cozy. The walk to Park City Mountain lifts is about 5 minutes..straight out the back door, across a little bridge, through the resort's parking lot, and you are there. No waiting for a bus! Very easy walk to the lifts (Pay Day, etc) Outdoor hot tub that many seemed to enjoy. Quiet condo and plenty of room for 4 people. Can accommodate 6 with a fairly comfortable air mattress. There are 2 love seats in the living room, but would have preferred a full couch that pulls out into a bed. The air mattress took up too much room when inflated. Also, the owner needs to get curtains that actually cover the living room window - especially if you are sleeping on the air mattress in the living area. Other than those small details, the unit was great. If you walk out the front of the building through the garage and go 1/2 block you will be right on the bus line to Main Street or cross the street and you can catch a bus to the grocery store, the Canyon ski area, or the Olympic Center. All free bus service and very easy to navigate. So close to the condo. All in all, a great unit and a wonderful location!…
We stayed in unit 208 and the amenities were fine and it was mostly clean. The rental company told me it was one of its nicest units when I booked it 8 months early. I believe it had been renovated 6 years ago, so it must have looked lovely then. If we had paid $350/night to stay here it would have been fair. To pay almost $500 for old carpets, outdated master bath, evidence of an old fire? and splashes on walls, etc. is totally unacceptable. The unfairness of the pricing prompted me to write this. These units still require an 8 minute walk across a large parking lot and up several rows of stairs (in ski boots and carrying skis) to utilize the slopes. These prices should be for ski in/ski out for this level. Lodging pricing for the same units without updating has skyrocketed since Vail bought the resort. Please be aware; we got taken.…
Our stay here at Snowblaze (307) has been great!! Perfect location to ski, less than a half mile walk. Bus stop to Main Street is a few steps away on Park Ave. Spacious condo with a master bedroom, additional full bathroom, kitchen (with utensils, cups etc.) and living room downstairs. Upstairs is a loft with a fold out couch and television. Full bathroom can be used from the loft area or the second bedroom upstairs. 2nd bedroom has a king bed with a twin bed and trundle underneath for accommodating more people. TV also in the second bedroom. The elevator is real close to the room and fast. The washer and dryer is on the first floor and was convenient. (Bring quarters) There is a hot tub and small pool outside as well for snowblaze only. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Hope to be back!! …
We stayed in Snowblaze 208 in March 2017. The location of the condos is great - it is right across the street from PCMR. Inside the unit, the kitchen is renovated and the living area is OK. However, the bedrooms and bathrooms need work. The master bedroom is tiny, and is an interior room with NO windows at all. It is VERY stuffy at night, even in March. The bed is also way too large for the room, and there are no nightstands or bedside lamps. The master closet is full of the owners' junk - old comforters, pillows, etc. The whole room feels dingy. There are exposed pipes in the ceiling for the sprinkler system, and the sprinkler system is not well-installed with holes showing in the ceiling. In the master bathroom, the sink is redone, but the tub and shower are not and look to be about 25 years old. Also both the tub/shower in the master bathroom and the shower in the 2nd bathroom are strangely raised off the floor. If you are an older person, you will not be able to use the shower in the master bathroom as it requires you to step up several feet to get in. The 2nd bedroom is also tiny, but does have nice full-size bunk beds. One big positive of this unit is that it has a full size washer and dryer. Also the property manager was very responsive when we needed a hair dryer delivered, and they also fixed an issue with the unit smelling like smoke. But, the overall feeling of dinginess and darkness are too much for me. Outside, the jacuzzi and pool are in a very un-inviting cement patio area sandwiched next to a road and another condo building. It is not tempting at all. The balcony of unit 208 looks into the parking garage of another condo building - no view. Overall, I would not stay here again.…
We rented 4 units in Snowblaze for durations of 5 days to 2 weeks as our family came and went. Excellent location. 2 units were modernized, 2 units needed carpet replacement, lighting maintenance etc. Basic commodities such as a kettle, enough cutlery, glasses, rubbish bags, a vacuum cleaner were not in the units. There was no cleaning included unless you stayed for a month! On complaining about how could we adequately clean without a vacuum and provisions, two of our units were serviced. Beds were comfortable, and access to the ski area and buses was excellent. Snowblaze- you have to lift your game, your owners are being let down.
This was the second time we had stayed at Snowblaze. We love it. First the sight is perfect for having multiple families stay. The week we were there we had about 10 units with families we were traveling with. The location near the main lift area and ski school is great. Easy to walk to and not far from downtown or grocery shopping. In addition the best part is the hot tub after a long day skiing and the outside amenity area is perfect for families. In addition it has underunit covered parking. The rooms are a little dated but they are perfect for the amount of time you are in them. In addition it is great to have multiple bathrooms as well as a full kitchen. Always enjoy staying. Perfect for families.
I booked this trip for my husband and kids. I did everything online and made up a folder with instructions. When it came to entering the property, everything was just as simple as could be. We booked #202 which was a two bedroom and two bath, perfect for the four guys. They rented REDBOX and watched a movie, they did not cook, but was nice to have the fridge and extra space to relax after skiing. They did not use the other facilities in the condo, but were close to local eateries and secure parking. They were impressed with the choice to stay here!
We stayed in unit #202. If you read Susan1171's review from Feb 2013, it's spot on. The good - right across the street from the PCMR parking lot so very convenient. No key, just a passcode. If you have young children, you should not stay here. There are cables running along the floor, the heater in entry is broken, there are light switches without played and the bunk is very shallow (and has a sign for kids 12 and older, which no one mentioned to us!). Master is a full bed, so very small if you're used to a queen. Bedding in all beds is lumpy and pillows are awful (one of the kids even has a stiff neck!). Sofas are worn and dirty. It's dark and it didn't even have salt or sugar in the "well stocked" unit. We were also led to believe the laundry facilities were in the unit, but they are on the 1st floor. Photos are posted. Stay somewhere else as this place cost a fortune and it's definitely not worth it.…
