Where to begin.... There is definitely the guise that they care but not really. They called me about 6 weeks ago to ask if I had room preferences and to let me know the lobby was closed. I thought that was awesome. We talked about our traveling from Florida and wanting to see the mountains from our room. Then the rep acted surprised and said, "Oh, you won't be here for a while construction should be done." Call abruptly ended. We then received an email asking if we wanted a road or courtyard view. My husband chose courtyard knowing that's the side of the building the mountains were on. He then called to ask for a room upgrade as Titanium Marriott Members. They told him they could not upgrade the room as they do not honor Marriott hotel rewards. That was fine, but my husband again reiterated we wanted a mountain view. We arrived at 1am Wed night/Thursday morning after a flight cancelation. Got to our room and had a view of the side of a building. I immediately called down and asked if they could swap the room before we got settled and was told he'd leave a note to see if they could do it in the morning but there are very few rooms at "Summit Watch" that have mountain views. (Weird....) Now mind you, we are here during the off-season - slopes aren't opened, restaurants are closed, and the hotel and parking lot are totally empty. We are now on day 3 and even after my call and Facebook message, in which they promised to look into it, we are still looking at the side of a building. And the lobby is still closed which really only matters in terms of my second issue which is this isn't much of a "resort". There is absolutely nothing to do. There is no bar, no restaurants, no spa. Maybe this is stuff usually in the lobby, but I'll never know because when I went down to ask for a map so we could explore the resort, they gave me a map of the outline of buildings and surrounding Main Street. This really just confirmed for me there is nothing here. This is just a place to sleep and then they shoo you out the door for food, services, and activities. It is conveniently adjacent to Main Street where you can have some of the most overpriced shopping and worst food around. We spent about 2 hours walking around and went to a coffee shop one morning, and that was plenty of the high falutin attitude for us. Fortunately we had rented a car, which I highly recommend. As for what amenities they do have - a pool and kids club - the pool is tiny and crammed in this small area outside the kids club that looks like an alley. The pool is in bad shape, a part of which is taped off for repairs. The kids club, while fair enough, is staffed by really unfriendly people. One day they were painting this Dollar Store wind chime for $5 and we strolled in to do it and were told there was only 10 minutes remaining so there was "really no time". There was no one there. Not one soul. No one playing games, no one in the pool, and frankly it would have taken my 11 and 14yo about 5 minutes to paint this thing, but no, she would not allow us to craft in the club. We tried to chat her up to get our kids interested about what other activities they may have and she seemed really perturbed that we were disturbing her silence. They really should just close for the off-season if customers are such a nuisance. I guess my main issue, the one they can't fix, is that a place called Summit Watch has no summit to watch. I looked at the website, I looked at the rooms on the website. The rooms on their site have trees and snow through the windows but apparently those aren't real. It looks like the resort is at the base of a mountain but from what I see they are flanked by the main road and Main Street, you can't actually see the mountains. I never saw the building from that angle because it's inaccessible. This being our 4th trip to Park City, I can say without reservation that there are way better places to stay unless your goal or purely the ability to ski in and out (although I have no idea how this would work based upon what I saw) or buy t-shirts for $30 a pop that say Park City. We traded a 2 bedroom, Hyatt in Cabo featuring 5-restaurants, a golf course, and staff that would fall all over you to be accommodating, for a pool that was a second thought, a cranky kids club staffer, and poor overall service. Maybe part of the hotel is closed, maybe I missed something - or a lot of somethings - but they were given ample chances to impress us, try to offset the fact part of the hotel was closed, bother to reply to my multiple requests, but they didn't. Even as practically the ONLY people there, we were clearly not a priority.

Greetings, My wife and I stayed 4 nights at the Summit Watch from 10/10 to 10/14. We were in the Pioneer Building in Room 1311 & 1312. The room was extremely clean and updated. Our room windows faced Main Street and we had no issues with noise. We enjoyed watching the snow fall during the first snowstorm of the season. We enjoyed the proximity to Main Street and the free parking at Summit Watch is a plus. We dined at Ruth's Chris, High West Saloon and Squatters. We would go to all 3 again. The coffee at Atticus Books is great! This was our second stay at Summit Watch and we will be back again. The only negative was the new Lobby Construction, but we knew about that before are visit.

Stayed 3 nights for a short off season vacation. This is not a real Marriott compared to the hotel brand. It’s a “vacation” product and you can buy in as an investment (don’t do that!). Tired, worn and barely 2 stars. We changed rooms after the first night due to the road (really a highway) being excessively loud up to 2am, then starting again after 6am. Just horrible. Second room was quiet, except for bar revelers below, though that ended about 10:30pm and can’t blame the hotel for that. Horribly slow hydraulic elevator - yes, one! for each building of four floors plus basement garage. Good luck getting one at check in or out times. Multiple guests we met commented on that. Can’t blame current management as that was the home office being cheap and saving first-cost dollars. Towels were horribly rough. AC vents loud and whistling as if something was partially blocking some vents. Living room furniture hard as concrete. Cold, hard decor, unless you like cold and hard, bland design. Big boxy weak flame fireplace taking up window space - not even sure why they have this as it adds nothing to the decor - maybe the rooms are cold in the winter and need the extra heat. Not even sure what style they were trying to pull off, other than bad HomeD DIY. They are going through some public space renovations, but they badly need room renovations, though I was led to believe this was done a few years ago. Paint a bit worn, maintenance seemed okay, but slipshod in areas. Great location, just off Main St, and reasonable price made it bearable. Reasonably clean and felt Covid sanitized. Service team was courteous, apologized, and tried to help with a free bottle of wine (why does the world of customer service magically think booze makes everything right again?!) but they are “kids” and were easily flustered when I asked why a Lifetime Platinum would get a room on the highway looking out at power lines and a hill cut as an “upgrade?” If you are not fussy or particular about your accommodation and want great location, this could work. If you want a comfortable room that feels good to spend time in when you’re not crowd seeking, I would look elsewhere.

Would definitely recommend this hotel for hikers and skiers who would like to stay in town. The King Room Suite has everything a couple or family of 4 would need for a lengthy stay - washer/dryer, well-appointed kitchen, dining room table for 6pax, and a hot tub. The Receptionists at the Front Desk are all top notch and super-friendly. Location Location Location: Loved that the best coffee in town (Atticus) is a two minute walk from the hotel and our favourite restaurant for breakfast/lunch (Harvest) is a three minute walk away . Also loved the free parking offered in the hotel (vs. the $35/day valet parking fee at some other hotels). Downside: No luggage service, at least during the low season in Sept

The positives: Friendly staff, room was clean, free parking, and great location in that the hotel was situated at the end of Main Street, so very easy access to all the shops and restaurants. The pool and hot tub area was also great, with 4 hot tubs total. I also appreciated having free laundry available (in the basement/parking level) of one of the buildings. There were various activities offered, some with a nominal cost and others were free. My kiddo did not attend any of the paid activities, but we did enjoy a free poolside snow cone event. The "negatives": Bed was way too soft. I did not realize this at the time of booking, but the hotel is a Marriott resort vacation club, which evidently means no daily housekeeping services? Or maybe COVID is the excuse? Since I was only staying for two nights, this did not end up being too big of a deal, but there were some inconveniences associated with this as we ran out of towels, both pool and bath. We also ran out of toiletries. I know not everyone is a fan of the wall mounted dispensers, but this might have been a nice option. Or, providing more than one set of the tiny toiletries. Again, this may have been due to the fact that this location was a Resort Vacation Club property, but it's always a frustrating experience when the check-in agent does not even acknowledge that one is a Bonvoy member (otherwise, what's the point of having a loyalty program?). I very politely inquired as to whether there was any upgrade availability, and the immediate response was a dismissive "no" as if I was crazy to even ask. I don't think the check-in agent even bothered to look.

Hi, thank you for your review of your recent stay at Marriott's Summit Watch. We are pleased that our location met your vacation needs and you enjoyed our onsite amenities and activities. While our agents are supposed to recognize your Bonvoy status, we do not participate in the full Marriott Bonvoy benefits of Marriott hotels such as room upgrades/downgrades or late check-out as communicated on our website. While we do not provide daily housekeeping, additional amenities may be delivered to your villa by asking the Front Desk. We hope you will visit again and we can provide a better experience.
