Location, location! Marriott Summit Watch is located at the base of Park City mountain on the far left side by Town Lift. You can walk to the lift, restaurants and everything you need, so no car rental is necessary! My only complaint is that the pool area/game room is a little far depending on which building you’re in. I lost my interest in using the facilities because I didn’t want to walk outside to get there. The property offers some activities like workout classes, live music and kids activities. Fitness room is legit, too. If I stayed again, I would probably choose Marriott Mountainside, which is near the Payday lift, which is a shorter lift and offers more blues and greens access, but otherwise I recommend this place!
We spent 3 fun days exploring the engaging Park City shops, hiking the mountain off the town ski lift (virtually 1 block outside the hotel) and visiting many nearby sites that were geared to summer fun. The hotel was safe, tucked in off of the Main street but a few steps from it. Ideal for us. Comfortable and staff was very friendly & helpful!
Great location close to both town lift( steps away) and all downtown restaurants and shops. Rooms were fresh and clean; mine had a nice view overlooking Main Street. Health club is in separate building, unfortunately no sauna. Service was great.
----- ----- Great location great rooms… FANTASTIC CONCIERGE! - - - - - - - - November, 2022 Visit For Thanksgiving we visited Park City, UT and had a great time. - - - - - - - - Background We stayed at Summit Watch for two nights on our “out West” trip in the summer of 2017, and we did not know about skiing in Park City, nor, based on discussions, did we expect any snow. Then we called the week before our trip and we learned that they had 42 inches of snow… so we soon had an extra piece of luggage packed with all the cold weather / snow clothes. - - - - - - - - Preparation and Lori the Concierge Extraordinaire We have a ski hill in St. Louis / Eureka, MO - Hidden Valley, and while it’s nice and close to our home and fun, it’s not the same as 2,000+ foot mountains. So we talked with Lori, the Concierge extraordinaire at Summit Watch a couple times before our trip. Lori helped us determine how to plan for skiing, how to learn more about the pricing of the multi-day Epic passes, and to also plan snowmobiling. Thanks to Lori we has a better time than we ever expected! - - - - - - - - The Location Marriott has two properties in Park City, and Summit Watch is located on Main Street, which is very short drive to Park City Mountain (you could walk, but skiing takes a lot of energy so we recommend driving). - - - - - - - - The Rooms Like many Marriott Vacation Club (MVCI) properties, Summit Watch offers one-bedroom and two-bedroom villas, which are joined through the dual-door connecting door. The one-bedroom side has a refrigerator and coffee maker. The other side has a full kitchen - refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave & dishwasher, and a laundry. The room also has a gas fireplace that starts and tops with buttons… and which puts out a nice amount of heat, which feels good in the morning, after skiing, before bed… well, any time of day. The main room has more space than other properties… it is likely a couple feet wider than we’re seen in other properties… and that is a nice thing. At the entrance is a bench and several hooks, great for keeping your coats, boots, etc. These are the best beds we’ve ever experienced in a Vacation Club - most are so soft our backs hurt… these are just right! - - - - - - - - Conclusion Great staff, Lori, the front desk, everyone! Great location on Main St. Great rooms Looking forward to a future visit! Thank you, Marriott Summit Watch - - - - - - - - Previous Review, July, 2017 Beautiful scenery. Relaxing. Awesome. We just returned from an awesome family vacation in and around Wyoming. The first half of the trip was a bit active - Devils Tower, Yellowstone, rafting in Jackson. We planned for a of couple days of down time in Park City. My wife planned this just right. Summit Watch Summary: - nice, new rooms... two bedrooms and baths, kitchen, laundry; gas fireplace... neat painting of a moose with a silly hat! - Great views - Fun through Activity Center - hikes and more - Awesome pool - Neat stuffed animals-in-a-can... beavers, bears, moose... the kids loved them - Fire pits - Across the street from Park CIty's lift, which takes you up the hillside - Awesome decor - neat main building, with (decorative) lift tower, etc. Longer Description The drive from Jackson to Park City was one of our longest, and it provided some great scenery... from the hilly grassy area of west-central Wyoming to the orange rocks of Utah... the scenery changed at the border... and the downhill drive along I-80 was beautiful. (And we visited Geneva, ID... and almost visited Paris, ID... but it was just a little too far out of the way) Then we got to Summit Watch, with the beautiful mountains around us... nice! We are members of the Marriott Vacation Club, and my wife reserved two nights at Marriott's Summit Watch. The property is part of a complex... the Marriott rooms upstairs in several buildings, some connected, some across the walking street from one another... and shops and restaurants on the first floors. Summit Watch has the typical Vacation Club villa - two-bedrooms, with kitchen and laundry in the rooms. We like this because it lets us be more relaxed about food, and cooking is relaxing and saves money... and in-room laundry's great. The decorations are pretty modern... the entire room looked brand new. They also have gas fireplaces and it looks like each room has the painting of the moose with a silly hat on it. We all chuckled and smiled - NICE! The Activity Center plans many things, like at all Vacation Clubs. We got up and got moving for a walk along Poison Creek - named for the runoff when it flowed past the silver and other mines. The hike was fun, and we saw some awesome flowers... our daughter captures awesome macro close-up images and her pictures from here are awesome. Caroline was a great hiking guide! Back at the Activity Center we played air hockey and bingo. After BLTs in our room, we went back for fun at the pool. The pool is indoor/outdoor, for the winter, and the door was open for the summer. Ice size. Good lounge chairs and hot tubs. And they have some big timbers overhead, for decoration... you can see how some rails along them would make it possible for mining cars to go in and out of a mine... nice! After dinner, we went back downstairs, for "group painting." Five families were there. We all started one canvas, then after 1-2 songs played, we rotated canvases, and "enhanced" each others' paintings... then each family took home the one we started. FUN! Caroline, who led our walk the first morning, recommended that, on our drive to Moab, we visit Sundance, home of the resort and movie festival, and Mt. Timpanagos, which was on the way, so we visited. That was well worth the stop, and we're thankful that Caroline gave us the recommendation! Fun and friendly staff. We do hope to return again one day soon! We do hope to return again one day soon!…
First - great location right in downtown PC. Good lodge vibe, huuuuge and very well equipped units. Gym was nice but looked like it would get crowded. Pool and hot tub area nice. Only downside was when trying to lose the amenities after checking out, I asked the front desk for towels. They said to go to the pool; no one was there. I texted the number left at the desk; no response. Went back to the front desk and asked for towels, explaining the situation, they said they'd be delivered but never would. Had to use tiny gym towels to dry off. Then, the showers in the locker room only had cold water. Not an ideal end to the stay.
The Summit Watch was perfectly located! Park City is very walkable and so much fun. The condo was a perfect size for two couples. It was very clean and the facilities were well maintained. The fire pits outside were pretty and provided a place to chill in the evening. I would definitely stay here again!
Park City was our last stop on a Utah loop road trip. The 1-bedroom suite, king bed, was very roomy and comfortable. Perfect for being able to re-pack and organize everything for the trip home. Plenty of towels and toiletries which is always nice since there is no daily housekeeping. The SLC airport is very easy to get to from the hotel, an easy 40-minute drive. The hotel location is excellent as it is at the base of Main Street where there are tons of shops. Although we were there at the very end of September most of the shops and restaurants were open. We spent our last day just walking on Main St. Next time I'll have to try the Alpine Slide! : ) I just wish we had better info on how to reach the lobby registration desk as it was very tricky. From Main St, enter the parking garage, take the ticket that is dispensed as it will be replaced with a resort parking card once you check in. That card enables you to freely exit and enter the parking garage. As you enter from Main St, turn right and the far right corner of that part of the garage will gain you access to the lobby via the elevator. You may have to move your car afterwards depending on your room location. Should we be back in Park City we would happily stay again at Marriott's Summit Watch.…
We had a 2 bedroom villa.... the rooms were very clean, comfortable and stocked with everything we needed! Loved having the washer and dryer and full kitchen! The staff was very nice, everything was on good condition and the location was wonderful!
We spent 2 nights here in a one bedroom villa with fireplace and hot tub. Pleased that we were located in the Ontario building, it was close to pool/activity area and short walk to Main Street. Very friendly and hospitable staff. Full kitchen and large living room - easily one could stay here for a week. Indoor/outdoor pool and 4 different hot tubs were very nice and comfortable. Nice view of the little flowing creek where we saw young kids racing plastic ducks downstream - cute.
Horrible about check in and out. Couldn’t get in a second before 4 and they were all over us to get out at 10 am. Zero service while on site. Health club is dated, zero recognition for elite status. Paper thin walls, like people next door are in room with you. Only good thing is location
