For 30 years, We have wanted to stay here. Yes, it IS worth a $1000 a night. It was the easiest skiing experience. Go with your partner for a week of romance. It is 8000 feet above sea level. You are halfway up the mountain. The views are out of this world. Breakfast buffet is delicious. Waiters are friendly and...

Comfortable, well organised and located with lots of extra charges We stayed at Stein Erikson’s for four nights. It is laid out like a tropical holiday resort with a front arrival/reception, restaurants at the opposite end by the ski slopes and groups of rooms around gardens and pathways in between. This does mean that you may need your coat if...

We had a wonderful visit to Stein Eriksen in early March. We had great weather and fantastic skiing. The room was wonderful, very well-appointed. We had a fireplace room which was a little small (336-3) and the fireplace itself was pretty anemic. View was nice, though not amazing. Housekeeping, Bell Service, Ski Valet, Ski Lockers, and Ski Rental were all...

Combining the convenience of ski in/out, an incredibly cozy and ambient après-ski with a world class spa, excellent restaurant + extraordinary wine list, the Stein Erikson hits that sweet spot of luxury and tradition. Having stayed at the Montage (more modern, but too sleek, impersonal) and the Chateaux (not quite in the same league), we felt at once pampered and...

Stein Erikson starts with a big reputation both locally and internationally. It's a Forbes 5 Star hotel and the only one in it's class in the area (although there is a ski in/ ski out St. Regis on the other side of the ski area) The service is friendly and impeccable, the check-in/out was effortless. The location is perfect for...

I , and my friends and family, have been annual guests for many years. The location of this hotel is unbeatable, and the ski valet services remain an excellent feature. Unfortunately, I must agree with other recent reviews. There is a difference between "old world rustic" and " needs an update". Several spaces need updating. I please ask the management...

This was my 4 and 5 year olds first real ski trip. I was concerned with finding a place that would be kid friendly, but also nice and not crazy crowded. I wanted a lodge feel, something cozy and warm. Stein Erikson delivered! Now, it's not as updated as Montage or St. Regis, but those hotels lack the "cozy" feel....

What a beautiful location and a beautiful hotel. Just stunning... breath-taking and just 45 minutes from SLC. The rooms were very nice and the food was great. Despite large tips, I was very surprised by the attitude of the bell staff, very little sense of customer service during my 3 day stay.

Just read the "over-rated and in need of renovation" and we couldn't DISAGREE more. We arrived late and were warmly greeted by name, then we and our luggage were whisked away to our lovely, charming and well-appointed suite. The Master Bath was over-sized and updated and the wood-burning fireplace only added to the feel of luxury. The breakfast buffet was...

This is the 3rd year in a row that we spent our February ski week at the Stein Eriksen Lodge. To us the absolute highlight are the ski valets who go above and beyond to make your skiing experience at Deer Valley the best it can be. They alone justify the high cost of rooms in my opinion. We had...
